Proper cleaning of SS wire rope for RBA?

I'm using tapatalk ATM, so hard to try to find anything on cleaning my SS wire rope. Do you boil it down, or burn the heck out of it.

Responses of a thread link are a-ok for me also if ya don't want to type it out.

I cleaned mine once by boiling it for like 15 min or so, it worked fine. But honestly, the wire rope is so cheap I just started cutting off a whole new wick whenever I recoil. Using an inch and a half every time, I'm not even half way through the 5 feet that I bought for like $3.

Ah, I boiled my whole meter of rope for like 10 minutes, to prep it for future use. In the middle of coiling up my RSST for the first time! Almost done!

Just wanted to see what the preferred method of pre treating the rope was for initial use, since this is my virgin genesis build!
