You're over thinking it LOL. You can cut a small angle at the bottom or not. I don't know if it helps with wicking or not. The mesh I have in one of my devices isn't cut at and angle and it's doing pretty good. The important thing is complete wick to coil contact. If there is a place on the coil that isn't in contact with the wick, it will give off a burnt/metallic taste. Here is a pic of mesh in my RSST. See how the coil is in complete contact with the wick?

Overthinking it? What r u tryin to say? I'm a dumbass or something?!? HAHA!!! No joke, I rolled some mesh and when I got to the point of cutting an angle in it, I thought, "You dumbass! Why did you even ask that question?" I got exactly what you were saying and feel stupid for that post. I might even delete it. HAHA! I was DEFINITELY overthinking it. Way too much thought. Just was trying to get it right, u know. If I was able to upload pics, I'd show you the coil I just built. It's producing some CRAZY vapor right off the rip. Now, I get to tinker with the RSST and try a bunch of different methods. Thanks, man! I appreciate it!
