Proper inhalation method

This is a weird topic to discuss, but I'm not sure I understand. I'm reading information on here about how to "properly inhale". I tried the method listed here by trying to suck my iclear16 like a straw. This just seemed weird to me and gave me a big puff of hot vapor that almost seemed burned.

I tend to draw with my lungs but the smoke doesn't immediately go into my lungs. I can puff fairly hard with my lungs and then inhale.

How do you all puff?


As a side note. I have an iclear 16 vv/vw ( I believe it's 2ohms). What is the proper voltage for this? ~3.7v?

I let the vapor fill my mouth, inhale and exhale through my mouth and nose. Gives me all the flavor.

2 ohm coil should be good around 4 volts but it really depends on what tastes best for you. Some like a warm vape and some like it cooler. I inhale almost like I did when I smoked....again, whatever works best for you.

Depends on how big of a throat hit that I want. Mostly, a mouth inhale but if I need more of a punch I'll start to lung inhale and alternate in one breath.

a slow, gentle, controlled draw is preferred over a hard strong draw (if you puff too strongly (or hard) you will dry out the wicking materiel and get a dry, burnt taste)

when i first started vaping about 9 weeks ago i would flood my pro tanks all the time puffing like mad it took a while but i got it now i don't think there is a real method everyone different some lung some mouth to lung some just mouth and out whatever works for you is the right way look at the way people smoke cigarettes they all do it different

I just dont think it matters.

Mech users that like to walk on the wild side and show off their clouds normally use no or little nic and pull into the lungs.

I on the other hand enjoy a good good normal but tasty vape...nice and slow,,,into my mouth....then to the lungs.

I pulse draw and during the pause, send it down. As I reach cpacity, I close my throught and start a slow exhale out my nose. Then let it flow out the nose and mouth

I do a slow constant draw into the mouth, then I inhale into my lungs and then exhale through my mouth. If you do a slow constant draw, it should give you the amount of vapor and throat hit you need.

Tend to fill mouth let a little go down me lungs and blow out of all available holes, i also like to put my tongue near the drip tip as find the flavour hits right on it

I always smoked cigarettes or cigars using a mouth puff then inhale. That never gave a satisying toot (watching too much Grimmgreen, lol) when I started with BLUCIGS so I found that vaping straight into my lungs gave the most satisfying draw. Same with my current setup.

This is the exact method I use and for the exact reason. Kudos.

There is no proper way to inhale. The only thing that matters is the pace, or speed of the draw for the device you're using. Experiment with it and see what you like best. Keep in mind that different devices can prefer different rates to work best for you.

Thanks guys. I wasn't getting a very good smooth drag out of my iclear 16's, Went to my local shop here and got some iclear 30s and they seem to be spot on. Feels the same as my analog cigs, bit of a mouth hit with a lung inhalation after.

I take a short slow draw 1st exhaling thru the nose to get the flavors kicking and immediately a steady slow draw with a lung inhale...I want to taste the flavors..Zen a great atty builder summed it all up..'slow down and enjoy'...that statement summed it all up for my style of Vaping...fun post

Apart from that, any technique that gives you the desired results will do

Just like a cigarette, except slower and longer. Always done it that way, works for me.

But it is, as you can see from the replies, an individual preference. Can't go wrong vaping the same as smoking though, to start, then adjusting accordingly.
