Does anyone on here only "puff" their vapor? Or, intentionally not take the vapor into their lungs? Especially curious about those that did inhale their analogs before, but are getting their nic fix from only taking the vapor into their mouth without inhaling.

Since everything I read says that the nicotine from vaping is absorbed through the mouth, not the lungs. BTW, I have always enjoyed the "burn" I get in my lungs, so not sure if I would be able to only "puff". And, when I am jonesing for some nicotine, my lungs throb (or seem to). So, I am not sure if I could make this switch, but would love to hear from some of you if you have done this.

I would just give it a go myself, but I am only on day 10 and don't want to mess with what is working presently. However, might want to try this down the road towards a total quit.

Thanks!

I'm really new at this only about 10 days myself. But I've been experimenting with that and it seems to work not inhaling into my lungs. I could be wrong but it feels like I am absorbing the nicotine through the back of my nose. I am taking a puff then slowly pulling it up and exhaling through my nose. But again I. Am new at this too, hope that helps.

As others here have said some vapers, if they need a strong hit, will "french" inhale- take vapor from mouth, softly exhale and suck up the vapor thru the nose where there are many surface blood vessels to absorb the nic. Also lots of blood vessels under the tongue and "sublingual" is a medication type/ mthod of taking medication/ pill through the bloodstream usually under the tongue.

I do both right now being as Im on day 3 and having issues with the juice I bought causing me to cough.

By just taking the vape into your mouth and exhaling it, you are basically vaping like a pipe or cigar smoker who do not usually inhale the smoke. A pipe/cigar smoker gets the nic through the mouth and sinus mucus membranes. It is less of a nic hit then taking into your lungs. And as someone pointed out to me, nicotine in smoke goes into your lungs and body a LOT easier then vape nicotine. This is due to the smoke particles binding with nicotine being a lot smaller and easier absorbed into you blood. Vape nic is bound to basically water vapor which has much bigger particles.

I also try to "french" inhale...where you keep the vape in your mouth and slowly exhale while breathing in thru your nose... that seems to get a me a large nic hit.

Experiment. Try just taking in your mouth and exhale, or another method I use is to take the vape in the mouth for a second or two and slightly open my mouth and inhale into my lungs slowly (that helps big time with the cough reflex), as well as french inhale. Its not like mama used to say "dont play with your food"....go ahead and play with your vape, enjoy it...:)

I never knew that was called the French method. It makes sense, though, as my grandmother was 100% French.

This thread just made me stick my PV up my nose and try inhaling that way.. It's an interesting sensation and certainly feels stronger in flavour and hit than via the mouth, but I wouldn't wanna do it in public. It has got me thinking tho; I might mix up some strong menthol for my old 510-t and use that for clearing out my sinuses or blocked nose. It beats spending money on those nasal inhaler sticks when you've already got everything you need right there in your PV.

That would sure get people to stop wanting to try your pv if they see you do that!
