Here's a good one for the gang! Remember all that "Fake a ma hyde" BS reporting a week ago? plus the New England Journal of lunacy!

"The New England Journal of Medicine even tweeted: “Chemical analysis of e-cigs’ vapor show high levels of formaldehyde,” it read. “Authors project higher cancer risk than smoking.”

But as Sullum pointed out, most people avoid vaping at high voltage because it produces very unpleasant flavors. Naturally, an uncritical media ran with scary headlines like "Study: E-cigarettes could be more deadly than regular cigarettes." Sullum thoroughly debunks those claims.

Today, New York Times columnist Joe Nocera takes on that study and more or less forces one of the researchers to back down on the claims. From the column:"

Now who would want to spread weeds around? For what reason? The "Gateway for Kids" argument falls flat on it's face there while you know who else has plenty of flavors to pick from.

GlaxoSmithKline ($GSK) says it's worried about adequate regulation for e-cigarettes, and it's pushing Europe to require more. After all, more red tape to cut through for e-cigarette makers can't hurt the British pharma giant, which competes against them directly with its Nicorette gum and other quit-smoking products.

Gee someone losing a lot of $$$$$$ ???! That was a year ago in the report seen at: GlaxoSmithKline lobbies for restrictions on e-cigs, which compete with its nicotine products - FiercePharma

You could say that would be one company with a grudge while the CEO there admitted having considering getting into the ecig market but with all of the hussle and bussle going on backed away. Now add up all of the drug companies that supply patches, gums and lozenges with all those fancy flavors to choose from, Inhalers with Hydrochloric Acid as one of the main ingredients namely Nicorette QuickMist to Acid Indegestation in the broncial tubes! Want to inhale what makes up a portion of your stomach acid?

Big Tobacco wants things to lean their way as that is all too familiar a theme since they got in on the ecig action with a vested interest in how things get regulated. And then on the other hand is the Antismoking crowd looking to toss in a monkey wrench whenever possible. And the good word from them would be with all that first thing in the morning Fear Mongering in the morning paper?! Start your day off with "Weedies"! Brought to you by the anti-smoking anti-ecig Dim Wit network of Ignorance!
