morning It occured to me over the weekend that propylene glycol is the very stuff we use to treat 'twin ill' in any of our affected in lamb ewes. Must be good stuff then
It's used in all sorts of things, from treating ketosis in bovines to keeping your icedcream from freezing solid to nebulizers in hospitals... It's a very common thing..morning It occured to me over the weekend that propylene glycol is the very stuff we use to treat 'twin ill' in any of our affected in lamb ewes. Must be good stuff then
Studies have shown that although fresh air is still best, the vast majority of sheep would rather see their lambs vape over smoking.

That's why it's sold by the gallon at most Tractor Supply stores. I think there's something about calves in there, too.morning It occured to me over the weekend that propylene glycol is the very stuff we use to treat 'twin ill' in any of our affected in lamb ewes. Must be good stuff then
I dont know the full science of it. But occasionally if a ewe that is carrying twins or more is not utilising feed for herself but her lambs are leeching everything then its a ketosis kind of thing. Prop sorts it if its caught quick.whats twin ill? ( I grew up in a suburb )

Any sheep treated is carefully monitored for further substance abuse. I can confirm there have been no instances of progression unless ginger biscuits count.Nice.
I suspect the ANTZ (public health) are concerned about the 'gateway' from sheep vaping to them instantly
1. smoking 100s (full strength) and,
2. popping drugs
because that so logical...![]()
Yup cows are very good at escaping. We have one on the farm who ive renamed Steve McQueen shes very persistant. I found out by accident alot of sheep love ginger biscuits!! Go through alot at lambing between me and the sheep. Its good to know if prop if ever restricted ill still be able to get someGinger biscuits, that's good to know! Even better is a sheep would be much easier to care for than a cow if buying propylene-glycol was ever restricted in some way. Have had cows in the past and do not want to go there again. Need a stronger fence than most any other live stock and once they all have names you can't eat them...
Once met a camel that was addicted to Altoids peppermints. 'Introduced' to her by her owner and allowed to feed her. Another visit over a year later she ran to the fence to greet us wanting more peppermints.
