Protank 2 clone...funny taste when vaped

I recently bought two protank 2 clones from the vapedoctor and have noticed that any juice I put in them has an odd taste when vaped. I washed them out with warm water and the taste is still there. Could it be an inferior coil? Is there a better way to clean them? Because they are clones I got them for a cheap price but I would still like to salvage them if I could. I loaded the same liquid into an evod glass and vaped it and it tastes great. The pt2 clone adds a metallic or chemical taste to the liquid. Hard to describe. But I did rule out the liquid as being the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It might be the chrome your tasting. I had a protank 2 and although I didn't notice it at the time, when I bought a tank with a stainless parts I noticed straight away that the taste was better. I put it down to maybe being sensitive to chrome in my taste senses, but the matalic taste was gone with the stainless.

Thanks for the info. I would be willing to wager that it is chrome and not stainless. I thought it might be inferior parts or something.
