I built a 12 wrap 28gueage coil on a 1/16 drill bit. it came out at 1.5 ohms. As soon as I put it on my mvp it is flooded. I haven't gotten the first decent draw from it. I am using cotton and have rewicked it four times going less cotton more cotton more flavor wick tightening everything. I have gone through 10 mils of juice trying to figure this thing out. I just put a stock coil back in it and it is fine. I am new to all this so am I missing something did I go wrong somewhere with this coil. Why is it leaking/flooding so badly. HELP!

After adding juice directly to the cotton wick, try blowing from the top with a paper towel under the base to get rid of any excess. If it still floods, check your grommet on top to make sure it's okay and you don't see black when looking in from the wick channels. Good luck.

what's the vg/pg ratio of the juice?

When I used to rebuild those, if I had any flooding I would pull off the chimney and add another thin strip of cotton on top of the coil and out the sides, to tighten the gap. Did that until it performed correctly.

80 vg 20 pg

I guess I'll go back to the drawing board. Three flavor wicks didn't stop the flooding and leaking so instead of throwing it across the room I guess I will just start over. It sure was a pretty little coil. I hate to trash it but I can't afford to keep leaking my juice all over everything. What a pain in the....foot
