Leaking issues... It is a bottom coil with a bottom wick. I almost wonder if it is normal to have a small leak. Maybe you are not vaping it at a high enough voltage, and you are pulling too hard, thus the wick is working too well to get juice to the coil, and your coil is not performing, so where does the excess go? Right down the bottom connection. BTW, don't use cotton on these. Cotton works too damned well.

I have NEVER had a leak with my PT 2. I rebuild them using 32 gauge kanthal and a twist of cotton ball. Works great, the cotton wicks great but has never leaked. In reply to the OP, never had a stock coil leak either. Hope you figure it out!

I've got a Davide (Mini), a bottom coil design with a very similar design (it can use PT replacement heads), and I've had basically zero leaking.

I've heard that any dirt or other sort of foreign matter getting on the seals can cause leaking, by creating a gap large enough to let e-liquid escape (even the tiniest of spaces apparently can cause this). This was in connection with a Davide forum discussion btw, and not specifically about the PT2, but maybe the issue affects both types of clearomizers?

In any event, the Davide has been a gem for me; zero leakage is one of the reasons I like it so much.

Glenn
