Just purchased a new protank 3 from a local shop in Corpus Christi. Watched a few YouTube videos on how to fill and maintain it. I noticed that in one of the videos the guy compared the protank 2 to the protank 3. The difference was the atomizer heads. My concern is that the atomizer heads that came in the package are not the ones in the pictures and videos. They look like the ones for the protank 2. The package looked authentic and even had a card to check it's authenticity on the kanger website( I've misplaced the card and trying to find it now.) is it possible to purchase a fake in a brick and mortar store? Everything looks legit on the tank even says protank 3 on it. Did kanger possibly change the heads? In advanced for any info

Protank 2 heads will work in a Protank 3 but then the 3 will be running a single coil. The #3 coils have a double row of wicks where the others have a single. If you hold them side by side you can see the difference. I have seen pictures of my Aerotank with some short coils and when I bought mine there were longer ones in the package. Kanger switched to the longer coils a while back and perhaps haven't updated some of their photos.

Is it possible that a B&M would sell something that is not original - sure - but I would say not likely if they wanted to stay in business.

Have a great day and Vape On my friend - - Vape On!

All of the coils I have seem being sent with the Pt3 are still the short versions while the replacements are the long versions that look like the pt2. The longer replacement ones seem to work much better and last longer than the ones shipped with the boxes. Side by side the pt3 coil will have two sets of wicks stacked and a wider silicon cap.
