Sounds like your not getting a good connection with you tank. If you can, try cleaning your threads on both the tank and the Vamo. Also you should be able to wiggle the pin in the tank out just a touch to help it connect. Other than that I have no clue. Best of luck

I had something like this happen once. Turns out that the leads from the stock coil were peeking out from the rubber insulator, causing weird issues and shorts. Took a dental poker, and poked them underneath and on top, and checked the ohms again. Was fine after that.
Might be worth a try. :)

Thanks guys I'll def try both of those. I try to keep my connections as clean as possible, usually just while with a towel or something. Any other recommendations?

The vamo like many others read up to a max of 9.9 ohm

If you have no coil on top of it, it will read 9.9 ohm

It just means the vamo is seeing NO COIL CONNECTED.

The center pin on the tank is not touching the center pin on the vamo.

It's a typical problem with the 510 connection.

That's why I use a miniprotank base on my protanks; it uses the eGo threads

I had this problem with my Vamo. It would only read certain tanks all the time and others it was picky with. I ended up having to replace the washer under the center pin to keep it more in place. You can get one in the plumbing section of most home improvement stores. Be warned though unless you do this thing often you have to be careful or you will pull the center pin out and disconnect it
