Protank Darkening E Juice

I'm no expert but all my sweeter flavors do that I assume it's kind of like caramelizing from the heat. Not sure if all do that or just the sweeter ones but about half of mine do. And I should say all tanks I have do it as well not just one.
Juice itself darkens over time, especially when it's not airtight. If the liquid tastes okay and it's not gunky coils changing the color, it's not a problem.
mine does this as well, actualy kinda like the taste better when it changes color
If you want cut it with some PG and that will loosen it up some. I have a few flavors that mix well and are 100% PG just for this reason.
I have a Totally Wicked Tornado RCS, it has a tank almost EXACTLY like the Pro-Tank...I had the same problem yesterday evening when I was "chain vaping"
I ended up pulling and replacing the coil pack and dumping the dark fluid (it had a burnt taste to it) fixed the problem...I have found that the atomizer keeps its flavor better though...
I am researching the best cleaning tips for those coil packs and stuff...it probably just needed a good washin'

Mine do the same thing. I assume its from the heat. I only fill them up about half way because of this. If I start with a full tank, it is tasting pretty burnt by the time it gets low.
Yup, I've had this happen with CE4's, Vivi Nova's and other clearo/tanks of this type that I've used. Even my Genesis RBA does this to some extent. I've always assumed it was the part of the juice that was not vaporized and made its way back into the tank instead of onto the coil as 'gunk'. It doesn't bother me so I leave it alone. YMMV.
Yeah I think most dark ejuice does this. I empty my tank out and just dump the really dark stuff every few top offs. It seems to extend the life of my coils..
Unless there's a flavor difference, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I always assumed it was runback from the coils.

My ProTank does the same thing with some e-liquids, but not all. I just dump out the last little bit, rinse and dry the tank/coil and its good to go again. I also clean and dry burn every few days just to be sure. The coils seem to be lasting several weeks that way.
Same thing happens to my Pro Tank and Vision Victory bcc. I don't notice any change in taste and just keep vaping away. I only dump my clearos when it is time to clean and then I dump them into each other. Dump into the VV to clean the PT and vise versa. I make some great flavor combinations that way. I just hate the thought of wasting juice if I don't have to. I have even dumped into an empty bottle and kept track of what I was mixing in case I "invent" something just too wonderful! I mix a lot of juice as a general rule just to adjust the nicotine content. I chain vape at times so I will add some 6mg or 0mg juice to what I have in there to avoid hitting a nicotine wall. I am rambling. Time for this vaper to go to bed! Nite all.
Yep, this happens on all of my larger clearomizers - Protanks and Davides. - and is why I've gone to using smaller tanks - iclear16s, protank mini, CE4s, etc. The sweeter juices I normally vape not only get darker, they get a caramelized taste and get visually thicker.
I had darkening of e-liquid in protank, vivi nova & T2.
I'm not sure but i suppose thats because the light elements evaporate and the heavier elements which includes the coloring remain in the tank.
I am no longer using those industrial juices, instead i make my own with high grade favoring and no coloring.
My e-juice is clear like water and remains the same way even when the tank is almost empty.

Any tank system will do that, and there are several causes.
#1 the heat source is inside the tank
#2 half cooked juice leaches back into the tank from the coil
#3 heating & cooling causing condensation inside the tank

Just another voice to add to the pile of, "Yep, same here" and "it's probably the heat."
But, here's a new twist -- does anyone get a slight flavor change along with the color change? I've noticed with one of two of my juices that when the color gets darker, the flavor and throat hit also shift a just a nudge toward the harsh. Not to the point where it's something I'd complain about, just a sort of "on the edge of my mind" thing where it registers and then I can dismiss it.
