My Protank II is acting strange today.

First it was a very airy draw, but when I used it today I have a back sucking draw.
It's like a negative draw like a vacuum cleaner, never had any clearomizer acting this strange way.

Guess it's maybe some kind of vacuum building up while using it.
Don't know why it's acting this way, really strange.

Anyone have any idea?

Still doesn't know how to get rid of this sucking back draw.

I've cleaned it, rinsed it thru water. Put a nail thru every hole in the bottom plate. Switched to a new coil head.

Does not seem to be able to fix it, still this back draw.

Tried it on different devices that used to give the airy draw earlier.

It feels like when you using a hose to empty a aquarium, when you suck water thru and the water gets back in the hose.

Guess people who like a tight draw would like this, but I prefer my airy draw :)

The only thing I can think of is something got into the vent holes in the base - like liquid that has a chance to turn into gunk overnight. Poking it with a stick may have only made it worse.

How did you clean it regarding "rinsed it thru water"? Try putting the base in simmering water for a minute or two to dissolve any liquid that might be gunking up the vents holes in the base.

I have rinsed simmering in hot water, will try alcohol later.

But I'm sure the vent holes are completely clear, I can see thru the holes when the head is disassembled.
The nail was as thick as the hole as well.

I've raise the center pin on my Vamo, and not threading it completely down. That was my first guess myself as well. But I've tried it on some EGO batteries and my iTaste vv v3 as well.

I don't know if some of the sealing rings can have anything with the issue.
I will try with a EVOD head as well.

There is a replacement base only available for the PT. Don't know if that will work/fit a PT2 though.

I still don't get this one though. You have the right coils for it? Not the T3s/MT3s coils, right?

Yes it's the spare coil head that came with it, and it's a genuine one.

I will buy a whole new unit, then I can switch part by part.

I had to take the little plastic cap thingy off the coil head tube - have you tried that yet ?

Have not tried yet, will try it out :)

I can see that it's building up condensation inside the tank. have not seen that before.
Trying a head with mesh wick right now.

It's working good for the first five draws after opening it up.

So that make me think it's maybe the air tube that it's not sealed properly, but there is no leaking of liquid anywhere.

Have you pulled off the vent tube yet to take a look at the coil and wick? (Didn't cover this regarding the cleaning process.) Just thinking you might be using an "atty killer" liquid that managed to completely gunk up the coil in a very short matter of time. The air draw through the wick and coil might be completely blocked. It has to be something in the coil/vent tube assembly that is completely blocked to create a vacuum like this.
