I have a question. Does someone know if there is a site that sells the original removable tips for the protank II mini? I like the original metal one but lost one and I have bought some non OEM tips but they all wiggle around, unlike the original is why I ask. Been looking around and no one seems too. Thanks for any help in advance.

You can get O rings here. I have the same problem and am waiting for some to arrive. I am somewhat of a home body going weeks at a time without leaving my house. Thats why I ordered them online. Like deleon said, you can go to a hardware store though and pick some up. Just make sure you take one with you to compare size against. For that matter you could always take a tip and tank and see if it does what you want.

I need to try replacing the o-ring on my original mini protank 2 tip because it wobbles as you describe. I have two mini protank 2's and only one of them wobbles excessively enough to be of concern. That one, I'm afraid I'll lose the tip if I can't tighten it up with a new o-ring. Which aftermarket tip did you go with, and is it plastic?

I have a few that are metal and some plastic. More issues with the plastic ones but I sorted it now. I just went to Lowes and bought these (near the toilet repair stuff in plumbing). Appear to be the same size but they are firmer and possibly a tad thicker - either way it is fixed. I can physically hold it by the tip and shake it and it will not come loose. When inserting the tip its got a noticeable thunk to it. Super happy

Good luck

I've seen some that were close in look to the originals, but are stainless, like this one:

510/901/808d Stainless Steel HourGlass Drip Tip

Don't know how it fits though. I have three Mini PT IIs and i don't like the metal tips. PM with your address and I'll send you one. I can't imagine the post will be that expensive.

Appreciate that molimelight, super nice of ya. I mean if you are gonna never use the original or are going to throw it out, I will surely take it off your hands. I have no problem paying a couple bucks for it, can take the risk and send the cash in the mail if you wish, please advise then I will PM you the address.

Wish Kanger sold these individually, guess I am the rare guy who likes the original tips

I like way the original metal tip seems to cool the vapor some, but I've considered getting a plastic tip to try it out and see if it makes it any lighter or more balanced. Balance and weight seem perfect with a plastic tank assemble. It's just that all of that stainless steel really throws the center of gravity way off. Not that it's that big of deal, I just want to try it.

You're not alone, Dohmein. I like that exact driptip too (Protank Mini 2), and have been trying to find a match myself. Closest I've come is these:

Stainless Steel Hourglass Drip Tip - Polished - Kidney Puncher

I got a whack of them because they complement the upper contours of the Davide clearo (my go-to clearo) much better than the Davide's stock driptip. It is a little bit taller than the PTM2 driptip, but is not disproportionate.

Usable length of Kidneypuncher DT: 0.907"
Usable length of PTM2 DT: 0.792"

No problem. Like I said I have three of them so if I decide to use one I've got spares. I just don't like metal tips much. Don't worry about the postage. If its more than a couple of bucks you can mail me a George Washington or two. Otherwise just pay it forward when the opportunity presents itself. Just PM me an address.
