Just found this post by Diggity on another forum and I can vouche for it. I have been reusing my ten or so coils on my protank-ii and my protank-ii minis. All my coils used to work great until recently, now almost all of my coils would work on my minis but not my protank-ii. I thought I had a bad base on my protank-ii and I have been reluctant to buy a new one so my protank-ii has been collecting dust.
Today I decided to find a fix and ran into this post. It works great and all my coils work on my protank-ii again and the airflow is great again. Furthermore, I found out that flipping the mentioned seal (on the bottom of the atty that is to sit between the atty and the base)also works.
My protank-II is now my favorite again, now my minis will collect dust and serve as backups.

So I'm new to the forums. Decided to make my first post a contribution to the vaping community. So I have been plagued with no air flow on my protank 2 like I'm sure many others have been. Google searches led me to believe that I would need to buy additional parts to fix this very inconvenient problem. With a brand new atomizer head I would have no problem screwing it all the way down on my mech mod and getting great Vape. The problem I noticed was when I would refill the tank with more juice. After that I would have to leave my tank slightly looser to get any airflow. I would constantly have to find the "sweet spot." You could see how that would get utterly annoying. What I noticed is that gasket that seal the atomizer head to the base would shrink after a while. Probably due to kangers use of a crappy gasket. This would cause the connecting pin to bulge further out of the base of the tank. So tightening down the tank all the way would result in no air flow. I would post some pictures for description but it won't allow me to. So I figured out a way to alleviate this problem with no tinkering of the gasket, atomizer head, or buying extra parts. It's actually quite simple. After refilling your juice do not connect the atomizer head to the base. Just leave it "floating" in the tank. Then just tighten the base to the tank and atty head at the same time. Tighten it as tight as you possibly can to prevent any leakage. More than likely you'll be left with a tiny gap between tank and base. Barely even noticeable. Then you can button down the tank all the way on your mod without any wobbling and with great airflow! I've been doing it like this for the past two days with no leakage and great air flow. Hopefully it'll solve any protank problems anyone else has been experiencing as well.
