Protank worth it?

The protank beats the hell out of the clearo's I was using. They are easy to clean and once I get my vapemail of kanthal wire I'm going to start rebuilding the crappy stock coils they come with. I've broken a coil already from just cleaning them so I assume I got a poorly made coil.
Generally speaking the protanks are well worth investing the few extra bucks into.

Yep I use that airflow controller on my vamo. Does double duty in that it protects the vamo threading (which is notoriously temperamental) and tightens up the draw on the protank.

I have two boxes of evod "cores/atomizers" which I will use in both evod and protank. They are rarely exactly the resistance stated, but not far off. Good luck, I'm sure you'll do fine. Just crank it up if it's not powerful enough.

LR cores and variable battery came Friday. What a difference!! It's damn near direct drip flavor now!

Nice! I use my protank on an ego battery but i love how my evod is the same width as the battery. Looks a bit more "streamlined" to me. Now i can have the best of both. Think i'll definitely be picking up one of these.

That works on the Protank? I found it strange because Stormy's doesn't show the Protank in a search on their site. I like the design, though. It looks just like the Protank bottom plate.

My protanks will be shelved now in favor of my new Smok Pyrex carto tanks. THIS is flavor. I've rewicked the KPTs a bunch, used different res heads, etc, but could never pull the proper flavor through it. Have to tinker with them alot to make them right. The EVODs tasted better but they're plastic and too small.
The carto tank gives me a little warmer vape, much more capacity, and more importantly, BIG flavor.
Keeping my KPTs to experiment with a mesh and ribbon coil/wick. I'll also try cotton in them again, but this time allow more time to soak the cotton before firing. That could be the difference.

I love variety in my vaping experience. Different flavors, different cartos, ext. My protank gives me such a different type of hit and I love it, but still mix in my plastics especially when I'm out. The protank disadvantage is weight, so I send to save it for a special treat when I get home. For me the best part of the vaping experience is you never get bored with the same type of vape each time.

Love my ProTank. Got it 'cause my Atomic Cinnacide was eating my T3s. Had been using it on an Ego-C battery with great results, lots of vapor and flavor. Now have attached to my new eVic running at 8 W. Even better than before. I've ordered another (due in today) for my much milder Juicy Peach. I'm hoping for good results there as well.

Yes, that's all that needs to be said really.

I agree with the others on the weight if you're looking to use it on the go but I have a few Protanks for at home and stick to EVOD's for every other scenario.

Thought I might add that I am rebuilding the Kanger protank heads with cotton wick and 30GA A1 Kanthal - works great on 6 coils (have to wrap on a small screwdriver to get the coils just right). For anyone wanting to move to cotton wicks, I use:

I boil the wick and pre-burn the Kanthal

Hope this helps anyone interested. Oh - and this wick is just the right size for the head so no dripping on relatively light juice!

I started off expecting too much from the Protank and was taken aback when it didn't taste like my cartos or my Vivi Nova. After swapping back and forth for weeks, it began to grow on me. About two fills a day is all it takes for me and it does a good job of taking the edge off of juices that I previously found harsh. I still rotate between a SS Smoketech carto, a Vivi Nova mini, and the Protank depending on what I'm vaping on any given day.

I also really like the Kanger T3 but my wife confiscated that one and put it in her purse. She likes it better than her carts or cartos. Come to think of it, she also has my Smoketech Carto tank. I forgot about that one. Dang it! But, I can order a couple more for me.

Experimenting with various delivery methods is a good thing. You never know which one your juice will blossom in. If I had to tag the Protank with a label, it would be "Smooth Vape". It tends to round out most juices. It's also just about the heaviest vapor producer in my collection.

I've found that to be true, also. I go over to the counter and invert it, then unscrew the bottom cap and fill it up. Screw the bottom cap back on, screw it on, and vape. It's easily as simple to fill as a Vivi Nova and much easier than a carto since you don't have to wait for the juice to soak in.

I like the caps with the steel blunt tip needle for my juice bottles. It makes filling really easy. I'm trying to remember who I ordered them from. I'll have to check my credit card list. It's been a while and I ordered several at once. They fit most all bottles used in ejuice sales.

I Picked up Luer lock Bottle caps then I just stick my own blunt tipped needle on the. That lets me control the gauge of the needle so I can use a much finer one when I need to on certain devices.

I found that I can easily fill my Kanger BCC claeros by dripping directly from the juice bottle without the needle tip. I use needles to fill my Boge cartos--and my Boge F15 carto tank.
