Don't use protected batteriies that are too long for that model.

The Protege was never designed to use protected batts.

If people want to stuff them in there, fine. But that's not a design or mfg problem.

I have two of the very first V1 Protege's and have never had a crossthread issue with the battery or the adapter. My girlfriend has been using one since they came in and it still has the original tact switch.

A lot (Not all) of the performance issues are directly related to human / user error.

then again i am guessing that you do not use these as your primary vapes either when they are in the real world being used everyday the threads just dont stand up on the older designs i do have to say though the v3 is definitely a step in the right direction.

P.S. I have been through a protege with a bad end cap and two prodigy v2's where atomizer screws in has been stripped.
