Hey,

I have had my Protege and my USB adapter for about a month now and they both work great, although sometimes while using the USB adapter I will get a sharp burning pain on my finger while touching the Protege tube. It's like I'm being shocked a little, I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem or knows why it might be doing this. I have made sure that all the wires on USB adaper are not contacting the inside of the Protege tube, but it still happens every once in a while.

Thanks
Bryan

The cause of your discomfort would appear to be a relatively unknown syndrome named Protegitis. This is caused by excessive vaping resulting in the hyperextension of the button finger. (Similar to tennis elbow.)

You discribe the symptoms perfectly in that you will feel a sharp pain in your button finger but never fear, treatment is available.

Soak your injured button finger in ice water, while vaping with your other hand. (No reason to miss out on your vaping time.)

Take 2ml of your favorite juce and call me in the morning.

Best of luck
Bob

P.S. I have no idea what may be wrong but couldn't resist leaving a response. There will certainly be someone along to help.

absolutely, this becomes an issue if you, like myself, switch constantly between usb and battery. It takes some readjusting of wires etc, every now and again. S'why i'm buying a prodigy v2. It's kinda a pain (no pun intended) but i got the usb adaptor as a holdover until the full on Prodigy 2 was available, so i grin and bear it.

Thanks everyone for your help. Now I think I know why it has been doing that to me. I tend to use the batteries in my Protege when I'm at home and the usb adapter when at my computer at work. So aparently the constant switching of the two is causing my issue.

And like you Rezo I have gotten to the point of always wanting 5v like I get through the usb adapter that I had to order myself a V2 as well. Once I get that in my Protege will be my work device through the usb and the V2 will be my home device.
