Protege V1 Troubleshooting

I have just recently got a Protege V1. I can not seem to get much on the vapor or TH off this thing. I am using a 510 atty which is getting great vapor and TH off my other PV's. I have 4 14500 batteries and none is showing any diff between them.

I am looking to find out if it is the batteries, switch or the adapter that is causing the issue. What is the best way to troubleshoot this issue to find out which is the problem?

After experimenting through the night, I found out a few things. Out of my 15 or so 510 arrty's I have come across several which produce fine on my other pv's. But when those same attys are placed on the Protege they produce nothing, no vapor, no TH, no heat. This is only happening on a few attys while the others are producing vapor off the Protege but no TH what so ever and the attys are not really getting all that hot.

Hey Jimi-

Have you tried cleaning all of the connections on the adapter and in the switch? Sounds like it's just a contact issue. Try taking the unit apart, wiping down the adapter and contacts inside the switch (pencil erasers work beautifully for this!) and let me know how that goes!

I thank you for that suggestion and tried cleaning the contacts. Still same issue which I find odd being some attys work on the unit while others do not get anything all all, though all the attys work on my other PV's. I would have felt a lot more comfortable is none of the attys work but the hit and miss thing per atty does not make sense to me.

The Protege does have the old Tact switch on it, would you just suggest to purchase the new switch. I have a 510 and 901 adapter and it seems to be the same issue on both adapters. Any suggestions would be a great help, thanks.

sometimes it helps to take apart the whole device and assemble it back again, paying attention to button position. Button's base shouldn't be pushed in strong by the adapter. Make sure your adapter doesn't press too much. The same with an atty, don't screw it till the end, leave it a bit loose.

Do you have the same issue with both the 510's and 901's? or just the 510's?

I have the same issue with both adapters, that is why I ordered a new switch today. I figure to try to solve the problem by addressing the one thing in common, the switch. If I had the problem with just one adapter I could then reason it might have been an adapter. I believe it is more than likely a switch issue being it is an original switch. Please advise if you think otherwise. I just can not figure out why it works some what with some 510 attys and does not hit at all with some others. most issues are issues with the switch.
so that may be your best bet.

if that doesn't work maybe you'll have to send it in to puresmoker.

OK, I am awaiting my new switch but in the mean time I still have this issue I can not understand. Presently I am getting some sort of a small vape off of some atty's but then on others I am getting nothing, the atty is not heating up at all. Yet when I take that same atty and put in on another PV it works flawlessly? This has me scratching my head...

Have you tried putting a little Noloax on the switch components?
