Well it looks like the list is different to the one in the fist page, if there is a list to go on if someone drops out may I be added

There will be a pre-order for the reserved serial numbers, when the pre-order opens you will have to pay to e-smokeguru, exactly like if you were buying an in stock product.
The serial numbers list on the above link is based on the list at the first page but updated.
I think you were a few years late to the party for that one Player. If you check above, Ariel has posted a list of available numbers. Good luck

Ariel I'm hoping to swap my number for a lower number as well , after you and golden of course. There will likely be quite a few who do not follow though with purchasing . It won't be long now till we all enjoy proteus!
Imeo, have we figured out how we are going to ensure that we get our reserved Proteus? It would be easy for someone to claim to be an ECF member on the list to get the Proteus that they really want.
I have thought of that risk SS but I dont think/hope that anyone will do that buddy
In Italy for the original Ithaka we reserved (and didn't even prepay) and then, when the product became available, the shop website suddendly had an ego case available, which was actually Ithaka. One ordered this ego case (an expensive one - 135 € 
), along with a password we received via PM in a forum and indicating the nickname, and we got our Ithakas.
Of course the ego case was visible to everyone visiting the website, but without pass and nickname it was impossible to order.
Maybe something like this could be done for Proteus, of course hoping that no idiot gives the password away to people not in list.
