So it seems I have encountered a problem, my 510 connection threads on my xpv are wearing out quickly, to the point where some of my atties wont even screw down on it anymore.
I am pretty sure the reason why my connection has worn out so quickly is due to one of my atties, I noticed the threads on one of my KF clones appear to be damaged and I am guessing it slowly wore away the metal threads in the xpv every time I screwed it on just wish I would of noticed this sooner than later.
Sooo I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions to as what I should do. I'm thinking I only have 2 options really, either send it to protovapor or find a quality 510 connection that I can purchase and install on my own..

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Seriously, I don't think we've seen any pics of a red on out in the wild.

Well, if I messed up my 510, I'd write to Protovapor and ask them to sell me a new top plate assembly, with a new 510 already soldered to the plate, 'cause not sure what heating process they use to do that soldering operation w/o messing up the finish on top of the plate. When I got it, I'd swap out that whole assembly. But that's just me; I don't mind soldering wires, and that strikes me as the fastest way to get it fixed, 'cause it only involves one-way shipping. If you buy some other 510, how confident are you that it will work?

But I'm also confident that that they'll fix it for you, should you decide to send it in.

And several outright lies in the description such as:
- "NO 3 MONTHS OF WAITING" -- I don't think anyone has ever waited 3 months
- "These Cost 220 bucks on the site not including 30 dollars for shipping" - Last I looked, they cost $205 on the site and shipping was $6.00

Right!? Scare tactics, employed by unscrupulous mod flippers.. I feel sorry for the people who are too impatient to get the mod via the standard method, and go this route instead. No idea what they are paying for, as well. Could even be buying someone's abused mod, and not know it.

Utterly ridiculous. I know, there are other mods out there that people buy only to turn a profit by marking it up on eBay...but this guy's a piece of work.

Yup. I can understand selling it at a price that's a little more than it is from the shop, just because there is no wait (Given that the mod is just like new, without any sign of abuse) The new owner gets it fast, and the seller makes a few dollars, for providing them with a no-wait device. Both benefit, in a sense. This can be a fair trade. But for a seller to blatantly lie about the facts, essentially using scare tactics, to get someone to give in, and make the purchase... No class...

Shipping notice received!

Order #429 (and #430 cuz I forgot to add the removable clip option in #429 :p ) placed 3/10. Payment completed 3/12, for those keeping track. That's 26 business days, so mine was completed ahead of lead time stated at the time of my order.

I really hope I'm as lucky as you! If so, that means I really don't have all that much longer to wait, actually... (paid on April 8th) I was going to buy a ProVari to play around with in the meantime, but decided to hold off on that. Instead, I picked up another KFL+ and a Nova SS2 top cap for it. Getting the extra gear I need to set the XPV up!

I changed my order from the black shell to the new green shell. I'd imagine the green isn't in as high demand as the other new colors, but I could be wrong.

My XPV was waiting for me when I got home from work yesterday. I'm surprised by how light this thing is; noticeably lighter than my ProVari mini in 18490/500 mode. I'm going to have to get used to a top-heavy mod - I've topped the XPV with my Zenith V2. When I opened the box, I admit I was slightly irked by how light the green was compared to my perception of it in the pic. But the color really changes with the light and it's got a nice metallic hue to it...it's a nice match to my metallic bronze ProVari. I'm really diggin my XPV. :thumb:

Sorry, no pics yet. :(

Does anybody here have any feedback on the sticky button issue!?

I thought this would be the place to ask related questions to an XPV but mabey not... Im fully capable of taking the thing apart, its a new device to me so I don"t know whats inside, how cramped it is and what not. Is it worth it? Sticky button seems more complicated than crossed threads though.

The button is such a super high quality button that all I can think of is the guy selling it spilled juice inside of it :(
