It's here and it is nice!!! And it is SN#0453. Battery has a full charge. Came with a usb cable and information on the mod and the DNA30. Already downloaded the pdf for the DNA30 to my phone till learn how to set it. Put the KFL on it from the Vamo and I have to say the vape is better. I can tell the coil is getting more power than the Vamo was putting to it. Vamo had the coil at 1.4 ohm and I was set at 5.4 volts which made it about 20.8 watts. The XPV has it at 1.3 with 5.2 volts set at 20 watts and the vape is better. My next coil I'm going to go for something closer to 1 ohm or so. Yes I'm happy.

Mine should be here tomorrow. Fingers crossed. expected delivery date is tomorrow. hmm.... The looks of the wider black around the top, is actually growing on me............ Now I'm not sure I want to change from that look. Well, having that be a single piece, will be better looking than the current two pieces. I'm definitely going to order one of the modified clip, and spacer, as soon as they make it available. Yup, I think that wide mount area is growing on me... I wasn't too sure I would be happy with that, and would probably want to do something else with it there, but now I'm starting to like the look... Thanks for the pictures David! I'm so excited to get mine!!!!!!

Apologies if this has already been discussed. I can get an Evolv DNA30 board for a decent price here in the UK. I also know of a couple of people that build pretty good VV/VW Mods. If I were to ask one of them to upgrade my XPV would there be any issues you could foresee or would it be a pretty straight forward job to undertake?

The wider top spacer doesn't look bad and in black it's hard to tell it's 2 pieces. I'd still like to see the top plate made a little thicker to flush the connector and reses the screws. I know it's for air flow even though most toppers don't need air through the connector. The gap is not as noticeable as I thought it would be. I think I can live with it for now.

It should be quite straightforward. The dims of the 20 vs. 30 are the same... All you really need to be able to do well is solder. :) YMMV

Well that sucks.

Doesn't it just?! I sure hope it doesn't end up, I waited all this time, only to have USPS lose it, or have it get caught up someplace, and take a month to get here.... If it's not here tomorrow, I'm going to be thoroughly at my wits end with USPS. I put up with this sort of thing with USPS far too often. Hard to run a small online business, when the courier can't properly provide the services that we are paying for.
Ok, without ranting til my face turns red, I should leave it at that.

Did tracking show it processed in Honolulu?

I thought the DNA30 showed the last volts to the atomizer? I get a reading when fired then it goes back to zero. Doesn't really matter just curious.

As far as I know, it's a real-time voltage display only. No memory of last voltage(s) used. (just the last device resistance is retained in flash, until the resistance value changes) It just shows whatever the current voltage is, according to the current wattage setting. Since all sorts of voltage values occur when it's fired, to maintain the requested wattage. The only voltage that would be worth saving to flash after each firing, would possibly be peak voltage, but, it doesn't have such a memory.....)

As for my XPV, it's been "Processed at USPS Origin Sort Facility" Honolulu, but it's not been marked as "left" Origin Sorting, for the Honolulu airport. I suspect it could be that the final scan/mark was not made, before it boarded the plane for the mainland. I am hoping that it will arrive at the Allan Park sorting facility sometime this evening. if so, it'll be on a truck sometime this evening, for my local P.O. or in the late night hours. if so, it'll be here tomorrow... if not, who knows...

That sounds right. Mine showed in Honolulu then nothing till it processed into Columbus. So I would say it's in route. And if by chance it didn't leave till Monday then tomorrow would be a good bet. Mine had a full charge last night. It's now going on 15 hours at 20 watts and still shows almost a quarter charge. Not to bad. This is my first DNA mod and it is a step up from the Vamo V2.

Yup, I really hope the scan was just missed. Should know sometime soon, i would guess, when it gets scanned in Michigan someplace, from arrival at the Allan Park sort facility, and here. (Fingers crossed, it's one little tracking hiccup........lol)

I spend most of my day each day at my work bench in my shop, and have a notebook computer right here on the bench. I can plug into my notebook any time I need. Otherwise, like I say, if the XPV was energy hungry, and I'm away from home/the shop, I always have my Xtar WP2s charger, and plenty of other cells.

The DNA 30D (and 20) isn't famous for nothing :)

I get a little OCD sometimes. The Vamo and KFL had a gap between them. I fixed that with a SS washer. I went looking in my catch cans. You know those cans you throw extra stuff into. Screws, washers, little brackets and such. I found a thin black rubber washer. It came from a faucet filter. From one of the connectors they throw in. Anyway it's the same size as the connector and fits prefect between the connector and the screws. And is just thick enough for the KFL to set on. It looks like it was made for it. So if you have the new connector and the gap bugs you a little. Next time your at the hardware store check out the faucet washers. Just make sure it's thin. I took the one off my faucet and it fits but is to thick. Just thought I'd pass this on.

rounding third and heading home...
reading this thread has convinced me of one thing- while vapors are a LOT better off than smokers health-wise they are in increased danger from blowing a gasket or two and having a stroke. look, i get that anyone who has ordered anything wants to receive it as quickly as possible but people need to relax- it arrives when it arrives. constantly obsessing over delivery info can't be good for your health or piece of mind. constant rants against the post office is counter-productive and flies in the face of actual facts. c'mon chill out-when you get your devices you can tell everyone how great it is- until then relax. my grandfather always used to tell me "no one wants to hear about the labor pains they just want to see the baby". hearing all this delivery angst gets old in a hurry......

I love doing the same stuff! ;) Interesting idea there! ...btw, all was as I suspected. Just a hiccup in the tracking. ;)
