I couldn't. If I only had one, I'd clamour for them to make those of us who are reasonably handy with such things a self-install kit -- the new connector already assembled into a top-plate. That way it's remove the screws and solder up a two wires. No big thing, really.

I could go for that. I have a soldering iron and I'm not afraid to use it!

No,it's Gray with black trim.I said the same thing when I opened it up thought it was silver too because I knew I ordered gray.The silver from what I found out is lighter in color.

As far as I know you can use it while charging. The Evolve usb charger is a pass thru.

Yes,you can use it as a pass-thru as long as it has a little charge in the battery.

Sorry,i'm afraid there is no discount code for the XPV.At least not one that I am aware of anyway.

I see they have replacement prewired batteries now. Not that anyone will need one soon. I wonder if the foot is just something to set it in or does it attach to the mod?

Yes it connects in the same harness the battery is set in the unit.You just unplug the dead battery and plug the new battery in and try to put the wires back in place to get the enclosure back together.At least they are user replaceable now.

That is how I interpreted the post about the replacement batteries.

They've always been user replaceable. Now they just don't require the user to know how to use a soldering iron.

I'll be ordering a pre-wired replacement cell, probably just about as soon as Sony releases the VTC6, and they begin wiring them up, for sale as replacements. My soldering iron is a butane micro torch with a soldering tip, for now, and I don't like the idea of a butane torch (even a micro) around a lithium cell...lol

My blue XPV always reads 3x + the ohms on my RDA's. I currently have a dual coil built that reads .7-.8 on two other XPV's but put the same RDA on the blue one and it reads 2.8. Not sure what to make of it. The blue XPV has been a coffee table queen. Never dropped

Anyone have any idea's ?

So after having the XPV for a few days now I have to say its my new favorite mod. Love the size, shape, and weight of the device. Here's a pic of mine with an authentic Black Russian 91% on top of it.

@Rossum, no I haven't. I will drain it and give that a try.
I haven't been able to drain the 2900 mah panny's to shut down but I did on the 2600 battery in the DNA30 XPV.
