@Rossum, no I haven't. I will drain it and give that a try.
I haven't been able to drain the 2900 mah panny's to shut down but I did on the 2600 battery in the DNA30 XPV.
Yeah, the experience of trying to drain the Panny to do a reset is what convinced me just how awesome those batteries are (and why my second XPV is a 20 with another Panny in). When it's all said and done, it's probably easier to open it up and unplug the battery.

I don't like waiting for the mod but it is a LOT better than some makers with the hear a rumor of a release, find out when it is, sit at your computer refreshing, have the web site go down in the middle of your order, miss out on this release, wait until the next rumor method for selling them.

I would much rather go to the web site at my convenience, place an order, and wait my turn for my mod. I can do a lot of things, like build coils, in the time I save.

It also gave me time to oder a black atty to go with my black XPV.

Came home to vapemail....

So far I'm loving it. Really only been using it for a couple hours, but I have a single coil at 0.7 Ohm on my Quasar. Very nice at 30 watts but I'm going to play around with it more and see where my sweet spot is. Interested to try my Kayfun on it. :D

Nice. Like the blue.

Totally worth the wait.

My vapemail arrived yesterday, a green XPV, black trim and yellow clicky button. It is just what I wanted. All of my RDA's seat perfectly and fire (except for the Cryptex which is at .21 Ohm Dual Dragon coils on my copper Nemesis - I love copper mods!)

So today I'm vaping a Expromizer with a .9 Vertical coil chimney build at 17 watts and enjoying the nice, smooth vape of Spacejam Eclipse.

The XPV is one great mod. Worth the wait.

Connector upgrade

Our mods are in a constant state of development and improvement, and we are currently working on probably the most significant update to the design in the history of the mod. We are in the process of sourcing a new, vastly improved 510 connector for XPV mods. This connector will have a stainless body, delrin insulator and spring-loaded pin, and be all-around a huge improvement over the basic 510 the mod has used since the introduction of the 510 option.

For those of you who may not have been following us since the early days, we have never been very happy with the 510 connectors available for our use. The mod was released with a native Ego connector for that reason, but the market demanded the 510. So, we sourced the best one we could find and developed a process — quite complicated and labor-intensive — that would make it as reliable as possible. However, it is still a very plain unadjustable connector and we have been constantly looking for a better connector to use.

We have finally found one. Early testing shows tremendous improvement in connector performance. We conservatively estimate release in 2 weeks, and we are working to make sure existing mods can be retrofitted. However due to the costs involved, this will not be a free upgrade. We will announce availability and pricing as soon as we make a few final decisions.

Sooo Rossum; what are your thoughts on this? My full black XPV from Jan '14 is working fine with the original 510 but a floating pin option is sure to allow all atties moving forward to work? What do you think the voltage drop is regarding a fixed center pin vs. a floating one?

My KFL+ doesn't fire on it but my Russian 91% did, so I didn't lose any sleep over it... the KFL+ fires on the Provari just fine and I never bothered to try adjusting the center pin in the KFL. I had read somewhere that the center pin in the KFL could be sheared if one wasn't careful?
