My xpv was given a 30 to 35 day lead time at the time of my purchase, it has been 34 business days and I am sitting at 653. Kinda hard to believe that it will be here anytime soon just from seeing other posts of people in the 5 hundreds who have not relieved theirs. I will be contacting protovapor a week from Monday if I have not heard anything

If you have not heard about the proposed FDA regulations concerning vaping you need to learn more! Rip Trippers has set up a site called freetovape.org to inform and help you learn more. You can read up on the regulations and comment. The site allows you to register (free) and post your views. These will then be sent to your Congressmen and Senators. Copies will also be taken to the FDA for them to review. Speak up and be heard!

Below is an excerpt form the site, I hope you will spread the word to your vaping friends. We are trying for a million comments by July 9th.

It is our time, as both vapers and citizens, to stand up against the impending FDA regulations. The proposed FDA regulations, as they are written, will crush the vaping industry as we know it today.

One of the greatest assets that this industry has, is the constant innovation and improvement of vaping products. The reason that vaping has grown as rapidly as it has, is because of the ability to cater to each individuals' vaping preferences. Limiting the products available on the market would reduce the selection, and thus the effectiveness of electronic cigarettes overall.

For those of you that are not aware, we only have until July 9th, 2014 to be heard.

I've been meaning to take a better picture 'cause this one didn't turn out all that great, but since it's "too quiet" in here, what the heck:

O.k. people I need a little help.My new nine day old XPV is shooting the dreaded "Check Atomizer" message at me with every atty that I put on it.All the atty's are firing on every MOD that I own, except this this stubborn device.
The O-Ring under the 510 connector is not the problem either. You can not see any part of the original O-Ring inside the 510 connector at all.I need some help guys and gals.Thank you for reading my miserable state at the moment.

Well, one of two things is going on there; either center pin in your 510 is down too low and isn't making contact with the atties or something is shorted inside the mod. Have you opened it up to have a look at what's going on at the back of the 510, like this?

Yes I did open up the 510 and everything looks good. The 510 pin has not pushed in,or down, and I do not get that burnt electronics smell inside of it either. If something has shorted out inside the mod then something would have burnt out?? I am really freakin stumped at the moment, and a little ...... because I usually only have bad luck but that bad luck bug has not shown itself in quite a while and has now taken out my go to PV.I have also sent in a support ticket to Protovapor for help too.I really have run out of ideas to correct what ever the problem is.Oh there is something else strange about the error message. The "Check Atomizer" screen blinks and fades out from the top of the screen to the bottom and just keeps going like that as long as the button is pressed.
Looks like I will be one of the unlucky ones that has to send in there new MOD for a fix.

Maybe if you send it to them, you have a shot at getting it back, with the new connector..... I would ask.... maybe you can send them a small payment, to add the upgrade... doesn't hurt to ask...

Well that sucks. But on the bright side everyone that has sent one in for repairs has reported a quick turn around time.

If you have a long 510 to 510 adapter, thread it in and then thread your atty on top and see if you still get the check atomizer message.

No don't have a long 510 to 510 but just received my next email reply from Protovapor and they gave me two more things to try.If it still shows the "check atomizer" message after that they want me to send it in and they are covering shipping AND putting in the new connector for FREE.

You can not beat Protovapor CS they are absolutely TOP NOTCH.Now back to my failed XPV and try these next steps.
