So I was at band practice yesterday and were tightening up songs so we can go to the studio next week. While we always have fun getting song tight enough for recording is usually a chore of repetition. So here we are just jamming hard n my batts die on me the one time I forget to bring a spare set. Now are lead singer still smokes and even being smoke free for 9 month or so I wanted one bad. But like I said I'm proud of myself because I made it through a 5 hour practice with out giving in.

You deserve a good long vape for this one. Go ahead vape yourself silly now that you're back home and on the ECF. I don't know what I'd do in a similar situation. Probably start going all Mcgyver and make some whacked out mod from things I found around the room and vaping mouthwash or pure vanilla extract or some such. Good for you buddy, you made it!

Congrats! Although having one cig isn't really falling off the wagon in any meaningful sense, and as was said, you'd likely find them bad enough that they'd renew your appreciation for vaping! But these sorts of situations do happen -- last week I posted about leaving the house with just my ProVari and one carto that was maybe 2/3 full and forgetting my kit. I did find a spare 510 in my pack with a carto of unknown fullness, and that helped too, but I seriously had to pace myself to make sure I didn't completely run dry.

Even with that though I had a panic analog from my stale backup stash in the morning. (This was before I found the spare 510) Thankfully that's the only one I had. :)

New rule #1) Always keep spares in car and pockets. Rule #2) Repeat Rule #1 Rule #3) Know where possible vapables are at all times throughout travels and keep emergency money hidden in car or shoe in case of such emergencies. Extreme, probably, but I'm an ex-smoker and I've still got the oral fixation.

Great experience. But if you don't make it the next time, don't give up ecigs just because of it.

congrats on the will power!!

more importantly than making it through that 5 hour practice without an analog,.. you now have the memory of your endurance through such a trial. anytime you have another battery die, or another craving, you can always look back to that day and reassure yourself that you can stay strong and smoke-free!

i love reading stories like this. it gives me hope, since i myself still have those inherently evil cravings for a sickarette. keep up the good vaping!

Congrats! Now, record that as your "personal best" and see if you can top it one day, a little challenge game. :)

The longest I went without a smoke was 10 hours, forced of course, but haven't done so voluntarily. One time I worked on a project 8 hours straight, no food, no water, no smoke. I had forgotten everything...and that's the key, lose the thought.

Edit: but not that many things can fully occupy the mind. :(
