Hey all, quick question: I just got a ProVape and absolutely LOVE it using a 510 carto with some Halo NewPure! However, I have some 510 cartos that dont screw down far enough to fire. Anyone else have this experience? Who should I go to to purchase more cartos?
TIA,
Ruch

I've got the same issues with the provape and a 510/808 adapter. Some of the 808 cartos won't seat properly on the adapter. I bought 4 adapters - 2 from madvapes and 2 from vaporsheaven, assuming that QC wasn't going to be all that great. Only one of the adapters works on about 90% of the cartos, and the other 3 maybe 50% so far.

Hard to say what's at fault - the adapter or the cartos, but I can tell you that ALL the cartos work on my dedicated 808 pass throughs and batteries, so my feeling is that the adapters are probably toleranced too tightly - they need to make them a little sloppier. :) I ordered some 510 Mega cartos, so I'll check them out when they get here - I hope there's no issues.

To be clear - mine isn't a provape problem - it's a carto/adapter problem.

If you have the standard shiny adapter with the slot, grab a screwdriver and turn it a bit while watching the bat end.

Another followup. :) Here's the problem with these cartos. I don't know if there's any machinists on the board so I don't know if this'll make a lot of sense, but the problem is the thread relief - it's not wide enough. There's about a .030 difference in the distance between the last thread and the shoulder on the cartos that won't seat and that small amount is enough to leave the last thread incomplete. It will easily stop the carto from seating.

This is also the same exact problem with my 510/808 adapters. All of my 808 cartos fit all of my 808 batteries and pass throughs but a good number won't fit the adapter. After measuring the dedicated 808s and the adapter, the thread relief on the adapter is narrower than it is on the batteries and PT - same problem.

Fortunately, I can borrow a lathe and fix these. :D
