So, I decided to dress up the Provari mini I received for Christmas from my wonderful wife for a little black tie use. Today was our Installation of Officers at my lodge, where I was installed as secretary for the coming year. I'm sure the learning curve for the new position is going to make me appreciate how well it works even more...lol.

Polished mini, pro v carto tank and ceramic Ming tip. Triple punched boge SR carto and E-Six Ellen's Melons juice. One of the best juices I've ever had.

Enjoy!

Even if it's a Mont Blanc. I'm thinking this would look much better:
17608e8a841e45f3b4bf01caee41ab85.ashx

And it's only $740.00!!

$740 for a starwalker ball point, that's nuts! I'll stick with my Montblanc 149 fountain pen, thank you very much! Lol. It was one of my guilty purchases back in the day, and one I've never regretted. It signed my marriage license, my son's birth certificate, the mortgage to my house, the by laws of my lodge, and countless other memories.

Thanks for all the kinds words all! :)

What makes a pen cost $700.? Does it draw a flatter line than one from the dollar store?

What makes a provari cost $200, when an ego twist is $24?

Apart from the bragging factor, Montblanc uses proprietary resins, usually partly glass to keep a high gloss and precious metals. In the one in the picture, the top cap has a real faceted diamond suspended in that bubble, and it's not just normally faceted, but done in the shape of the star found on every Mont Blanc. I know for mine, it's mostly materials, like an 18 karat gold two tone nib... And a big one at that. These guys are just the company that, like provari, do it right, and don't skimp.

Sorry if that sounded blunter than it needed to be, just wanted to get the facts down before I fall asleep here...lol. Hope I answered your question! :)

It's like comparing a Mont Blanc to a Bic.

Perhaps my joke was a bit too esoteric. I was thinking it drew a flatter line like the ProVari on an oscilloscope. :) Never mind me, I live in my own little world.

Nice!! But just one thing, you need a new pen. It needs to be silver to match your ProVari. :)
The pen looks fine...but you ought to learn to tie a bowtie. If it weren't for that, I'd be stealing this pic to show how Bond accessorizes his ProVari. ;)

I'm just giving you a hard time. Looks classy.

There are four things that a guy ought to have the best of...a pen, a belt, a watch, and shoes. A gentleman is judged on such things.

edit: and if you wrap lots of rubber bands around the pen, it's less likely to get swiped. :D

I'm still waiting for ProVari's that look like these do. (or any mod for that matter)
