provari and vtr users (advise needed)

I'm looking from users that have both, and experience. Please do not just sway me to a Provari if you do not have experience with both.

I currently have a VTR and it is easy to use and change the VV/VW.

I also read a little on the Provari and know that it has a better chip which makes it smoother, but I can't track what that means since i do not own one. So my question is, is there a difference when using the same "tank and juice" on either or using the same Volt setting? Add other comments if you can think of something as well.

My second question is how fast did you pick up pressing the button 50 times just to adjust the Volts or change a setting? (i saw the video on the provape(?) page and saw you had to press like 9 times to change the V or power or something, just a joke on the 50 times)

I am interested in getting a regular Provari with an extension cap so I can use my 18650 2000MaH. I rather get the full size then a mini. As well as a differnt mod which I will probably make another thread comparison later after I have my statistics for these two.

Can't answer about the VTR, but the button thing is easy. It's just a single button and it cycles through the options, not rocket science at all.

I have both. The chipset on the ProVari is better than the VTR, but the VTR is a bit better than other Chinese mods. The main difference is voltage drop. A ProVari will give the same power each time until the battery dies. On the VTR, the power will drop a bit as the battery depletes. Honestly, on the voltage I vape on, I actually don't notice it that much.

It took me about a minute to master the ProVari menu. It is worth the money. The ProVari is a bit lighter in weight to the VTR. I have one scratch on my silver ProVari from dropping it, and one ding in the corner of my VTR from dropping it.

I got my ProVari first, then the VTR. Had it been the other way around, I am actually not sure if I would have gotten the ProVari. But I do love them both and use them both every day.

also how long does the battery last for you on the provari and and how much use do you put it through. For me i can use my vtr with a protank3 and vape a day and a half, which is about a tank and a half

I have both a VTR and a Provari. There is a drop-off with the VTR that doesn't happen with the Provari. It didn't take me long to figure out the menu style of the Provari to adjust the voltage, which I rarely have to do since I use the same ohm carto's on everything. I like that I can use different sized tanks on the Provari that the VTR won't allow. The vape output of the Provari is outstanding and consistant to the point of being forceful. The VTR's output is nice but I have to draw it out manually to get the throat hit I want. It's still a nice vape with lots of vapor. I still like it alot and it's in my daily rotation. The Provari is a nice piece and you wouldn't regret having one, I don't.

An 18650 lasts me about a day, regardless of device. I vape off of multiple mods (instead of switching tanks; cuz I can) but I would say overall 5-10 mils per day total. I know that doesn't really answer your question, but that's how I do it.

you can use any size tank on a VTR :] with the adaptor that comes with it lol, i know cuz i use the adaptor with my protank3 lol

I think the vtr has the 33 chip and the provari has the 66 i think, i have no idea what that means lol bigger number = better lol

This. If you can move your thumb five times, you are in the menu. Video games take more effort, yet no one says they have to press buttons too often.
Best bet is to go for what suits your needs and/or looks best to you.

I usually have to change my 18650 twice a day; I'm vaping at around 4 volts and I work from home, so I'm chain-dripping all day. Other people people will get more battery life but I guess I'm just a vaping machine.

I have a Provari and my 18650 lasts all day on work days and until about 7PM on non working days. I always have a spare fully charged though. It's never a problem

I have both. The VTR, it's an excellent device. IMHO, the ProVari won't make you enjoy vaping any more than you already do. If your decision to purchase is based on form factor (tube style vs box style), then the ProVari is a great choice. It's durable and has a great warranty. I personally prefer the ProVari mini option as it is the most versatile, but really, if you don't ever plan on using it as an 18350 device, just get the standard with extension.

As for battery life, if you pick up a high mAh rated battery, such as a Panasonic NCR18650B Rechargeable 3400mAh your heavy chain vaping can last up to 2 days. Keep in mind though, that you will need button top batteries for your ProVari ... if you don't currently use button tops, that will be another factor you'll need to consider in your purchase.

As for the button mashing to get to specific settings on the ProVari ... yah, it's a pain, it's something I've never quite gotten accustomed to. This applies to my Zmax as well, because it's also a 1 button device ... but I digress. Because the ProVari does not have VW, you do have to adjust the voltage when switching over to different ohm atty's. This is where your VTR has an advantage ... just set your preferred wattage and forget about it.

Bottom line for me ... my VTR vapes just as well as my ProVari's with same juice and same atty's.

Battery life is going to depend on how hard you drive it. I have an 18650 2000 mah battery on my Provari, I also drive the Provari at max output that the Provari will proved whatever build I am using. When the Provari was my only mod, I would take at least 2 extra batteries. When I first had it and only used a Protank and vaped under 10 watts, an 18490 would last a day at work, now that I use rba's and maxed at around 15 watts, will have to change a bat at least once, sometimes twice, while at work.

Personally I don't use the Provari much anymore, won't fire over half my builds, and the ones that it will, it can't fire at the watts I'm used to vaping at. Sad to say but I've progressed beyond what the Provari can provide me. It's not that I don't love her anymore, it is just I need more than what she is willing to put out.
