The charger that came with the starter kit is bad I think.

I put the batteries in, and the LED's on the charger did not change color. Hmmm. I take one out and put it in the Provari, check battery, 4.3, cooool, they charged the batteries, and they stayed full for like a week in the mail.

So I put a 3 ohm carto on and vape. Great device. Hit it about 7 times, check batt level again.... uh oh, 4.1 now. Put the batt back on charger, still no LED change.

Being a maintenance tech, I know how to clean terminals. Perhaps there was a bit of cosmoline on the terms. Cleaned all points with q-tip and cleaner.... Still no changer in LED color on charger.

Left batts in charger overnight. No change in color. Took batts off, no change in color.

This is not good. I was packing my laptop to work, charging several slims at a time so I could have 2 with me always, hit both at the same time if needed. The Provari is going to solve this. Longer batt life and higher voltage hit, around 4.3 is nice. I got the 1100 mA batts as they did not have the 2000's in yet, but did get the extention. Thought I would keep the 1100's as back-ups and get the larger capacity batts later.

Now it looks like my charger, or at least the LED's, are bad. Sending this cheap charger back, getting another one sent, will take about 2 weeks, and I'm not sure if it's worth it... I can get a charger closer to where I live and just ask Provape for credit maybe, I dunno. But still, this stinks.

Anybody else have a problem with the cheaper charger LED's not working, from Provape? I will not know if this thing works till I drain a batt and try to charge it, but without the LED's working, it does not look good.

I will now listen to Jimmy Buffet and pretend to be on a beach.

Your charger will cut off at 4.2v, which is the target for Li-ion batteries. Use the battery for a while and monitor the voltage. When it gets down into the 3.5 range or so, charge it again. Most devices that use Li-ion are set to cut off around 3.2v and that's when you get the low battery signal from the device.

Your supplier sent you fully charged batteries ... enjoy!

I had the same problem with the charger Pro-Vape sends out (Tenergy TN270) and it will stay green at all voltages. Fortunately I had an old spare UltraFire WF-139 and it's always worked great, cuts off right at 4.2v, and was $12.

I've checked the Tenergy at 3.5v up to 4.2v on the battery, each time, it turns on green and stays there.

I chucked it in the trash :)

Well the Provari worked great, one batt all day, light vaping @ 4.3. , batt at 3.7 now.

Gonna put it on the charger and I'll know if it works in the A.M.

Yes I'm sure the would replace it. Hopefully it will work though. Will check out another charger though, as a spare at least. I'll soon have 4 batts to charge anyway, after I buy the higher capacity ones.

I'm amazed, I would have though almost a week in the mail, in the cold, the batts would have drained some. But then I'm no batt expert.

It's always good to have a backup charger at all times!!!!!! TRUST ME!

All is well. The charger works, and the lights even work now.

Can't imagine what could have caused them not to work yesterday. Are leds liquid or gas filled, and sensitive to cold? No that's not it. I should know that anyway. Just a fluke.

Anyway, Provape did well, the Provari is highly recommended (so far) and I'm good.

Now, to find a short, fat 4-5 ml tank that will not leak with PG, or at least a 70% PG/VG mix, and the right 3 ohm cartos to go with it. Then I will only have 1 device to carry to work, and a spare battery, instead of a box full of slim batts, cartos of different kinds, bottles of liquid, tiny tolls, etc, etc. I felt ridiculous. But.... I am smoke free after over 30 years so.... :D:D:D:toast::laugh:

I am off to the tank/carto etc to research like a good boy, but if someone would like to recommend such a short fat tank, high quality, and stainless high quality 3 ohm cartos to fit it, I will look back here as well. The Prov is long enough, especially with the extention, so short and fat is the thing for a tank, otherwise the thing will soon look like a baton instead of a flashlight.

There are tanks galore out there, I've been trying to wade through the information on them to find the best one. So far, I've been using the smoktech tanks that madvapes sells for about a week and a half now. No leaking issues, they've worked great, and I've been using resurrector 1.7 single coil cartos at 3.7 on my rough stack (flavor/vapor/TH has been great). The size of these tanks is designed for an XL carto (smoktech). The shorter tanks, ie: chibi tank, uses a regular sized carto (boge). The other thing to consider is what your preference is for single/dual coil cartos. From my research, single coil xl cartos at a standard resistance (2.5+) are hard to come by unless you order from china. Dual coils are a plenty in any resistance. Hope this helps.

How did you manage to fix it? Did it just suddenly start working, or did you give it a smack or two? Mine is still in the garage, so my throwing it at the bricks on the side of the house is an option if it'll fix it :D

L7, when I got home from work I stuck the batt I'd been using all day on and boom... Red light. I dunno.

Thanks Andy, that does help. I don't need any hard-to-come-by stuff. I have a smoktech, kinda worried about how thin... looks like it'd crack if I dropped it. I bought a 3 ohm carto to go in it. I put juice with too much VG for that tiny hole so I'm gonna cut a slot today. I don't think this is gonna be my permanent tank, but my back-up. It's great for the price though.

just watched a review on the Big Daddy and Lil Mama... Look good, and yeah I'm not getting warm vapor and...well it's just not really stifying like the regular cartos, like the 3 ohm carto I got with the Provari starter kit for example... For some reason, I get no crackle with the tank and Smoktech cartos, either, and I kinda like to hear it cookin'. I'm doing my homework now.
