So, I just got my IGO-W in the mail and it fits perfectly on my MVP 2 after I raised the center pin up a little. However, it's not wanting to connect with my Provari and after 2 tries with a flat head screwdriver to lift the center pin up a bit, I'm too paranoid that I'm going to chip something or scratch it up because it's not budging.

What should I do? Does the center pin in the Provari even go up? I've seen IGO-W's being used on Provari's before so it's odd to me that it doesn't work. I also can't figure out how to lower the pin on the IGO-W and fix it that way. It's a bit frustrating because I bought the rda to use with my Provari, not my MVP 2.

Title should say 'Pin' not "Post"...

I hope I'm wrong for your sake, but I think you may have two devices that both have "fixed" battery connect points.
Less moving parts makes it more durable, but you kind of need ONE of them to "float" or adjust...

Apparently I can screw off the screw on the middle post of the IGO-W and push down with a screw driver and it'll push the connection pin down. I'll do this when this wick turns to poo.

"Pin" or "post", same dif.

Check the center pin in the connector of the IGO. It should be at least the same length as the connector. If not, use the micro screwdriver to tease it out further.

I've only had to adjust the center post of my Provari once, but it can be done the same way. It is not as loose as the MVP's center pin, which I find I have to adjust at least once a week.

Definitely wouldn't try to raise your Provari's center post. Seems like a quick way to void your warranty and damage your baby. A spacer was the first thing that popped in to my head, obviously something conductive. All my toppers have adjustable pins (a godsend when using a beauty ring) so this hasn't been an issue for me. Hope you get it worked out

I'm assuming the 1 year of warranty doesn't include a "Hey, send your Provari to us and we'll do a complete cleaning, fixing on absolutely every thing to make it completely brand new free of charge just because you feel like it!", eh?
I'm pretty sure you can do exactly that. After warranty, the cleaning fee is a mere $20.

Standard Post-Warranty Service Repair Costs:

Replace Window and screws- $10.00
Replace Circuit Board - $65.00
Upgrade to V2 - $20.00
Replace plastic pushbutton - $5.00
Repairs to the circuit board - $25.00
Cleaning - $20.00
Replace top cap - $15.00
Broken Cartomizer Service - $10.00
Return shipping within the USA - $5.00

I raised my center pin. The V1 Hippos required you to hand tighten then wrench tighten to get the correct spacing. Unfortunately, this pushed the pin down on the ProVari. I was able to lift it by using tweezers and a flat head screwdriver. It left some marks, but they completly disappeared over the next year. It's a PITA, and in your case, sounds as though the atty's at fault, rather than the ProVari.:2c:

So, if I wanted to I could send it in to them and request that they do like...full maintenance on it to bring it back to it's original state in every possible way without it breaking or malfunctioning? Does the warranty work that nicely? I feel like the new Zendesk would give me a lot of ..... about it and require it to have fallen down some stairs or out of a window or something before they'd accept it for free.

My OCD just tears me up when it comes to "nice things". Now that I scratched and chipped the hell out of my center pin along with (maybe it's in my head) a few glitchy things with the Provari, I just want to send it into them and pretty much get a brand new one back in terms of them fixing/cleaning/etc.

I probably sound like a complete ....., but I just want it vacuumed, washed and waxed with a bit of Rain X on the windows, is that too much to ask?

Cleaning?

Q-tips, paper towels, isopropyl alcohol & Noalox (or Ox-Gard)..

You can find the 1st three at your local supermarket.. You can find the last 1 at Lowe's/Home Depot in the electrical section

Probably run you a total of $10

I bet 10 minutes with the above would fix many PV issues...
