Have a provari mini with a zap. When reading the battery status without the zap it will read 4.2, but with the zap on it read 3.8. I'm using a freshy charge AW IMR 18350. When the zap is remove it will read 4.2 again. I have try with my aga-t2 and the same out come. I have clean the internal of the Zap and the aga-t2. Is there something wrong with my provari mini? I bought the Provari in Jan of 2013 and the coil is set at 1.8Ohms on the zap and the aga-t2 is at 1.6Ohms.

IMO the problem is the reduced ampacity of the 18350/18490 vs the 18650. The voltage drop across the atomizer/cartomizer coil in conjunction with the smaller battery amplifies the voltage "sag". If you wanted to test this theory utilize the "cb" function with a low res atomizer and record your readings. Second screw in a 3ohm+ carto and enable "cb" again. I would suspect the second test will yield a higher reading due to the reduced voltage drop. The 18650 should read 4.1-4.2 where as the 18350 will be closer to 3.8-3.9. If you read any of these batteries with no load (no carto/ no atty) with a freshly charge battery you should read 4.2v, if not you have a battery or conductivity issue requiring attention to the tested battery or a cleaning of terminals.
