Are the stainless finished colors any more scratch prone than the standard finish?
Satin will take a beating better than any other finish and not show it too badly, I have a couple mini's that I bought used that had been dropped at some point, the metal got dinged up but they still look pretty good, the finish hides normal wear and tear marks really well.

The satin and the ZenKote are the most durable.

The color coating that the Classic is available in are very good, but do wear over time. I think it's called Cerakote and has a good reputation for it's longevity and toughness.
Does that mean the gun metal zenkote classic is a different material finish than the polished silver?

Yes. The only thing that can cut Zenkote is diamonds.

Hey, I couldn't take it anymore. Last night, in the middle of the night, I managed to still be able to take advantage of the flash sale and ordered a Black Classic. Someone said they were being discontinued and I got scared.

They are being discontinued, hence the lowball pricing :)

I have a shiny (polished?) SS P3. You can see every scratch/scrape.

My black painted Classics have taken a beating and are like new.

Ah, but the polished steel, if scratched, can be buffed up, where the satin, while very durable, if damaged, can't be as easily repaired.

So, given that, the polished is the winner there, but the media blasted finish will always be my fave.

Lol. I bought the Zenkote first. I've been using it since the beginning of the month. You'll like it. I thought it would've have been a print magnet but it's not. I've dropped it twice on concrete from a standing position and not a scratch.

True.

I do find my Gold and Gun Metal Zenkote finishes are the most durable though.

Satin is my favorite finish. Understated and quite durable. Matches most tanks very well. I have a couple of polished, but 90% of the collection is satin. Here are a few.

I have a question about the Classic's battery indicator light. Sometimes the battery indicator will go down to one bar when I don't think I have been using it that much. Sometimes the light even starts flashing. If I unscrew the end cap and screw it back on, then it will show that the battery is almost full, just like I thought. I have 2 Classics now and they both do this. I am using the red AWR batteries. Is this a known issue? Not a major problem for me, just kind of annoying.

Clean all contacts and where the battery cover screws together. They tend to gunk up.

I've got a 2.5 mini that does the same thing. As LX1X wrote clean the contacts and threads. A little electric shaver brush does wonders on cleaning the threads. I use a little deoxit gold on the contacts and its good for six months or so.

Thanks for the suggestions LX1X and 1/2 fast. As my Classics are only a a month old, I'm starting to think it's my charger that needs cleaned or replaced. I have a Nitecore D2 that's over a year old now. Can I just take alcohol on the charger contacts and try to clean them up? What about the ends of the batteries? Alcohol those too? (I know-dumb question of the night).
