Hello everyone.

I have been vaping for a long time in the past. But i quit for about a year and recently i picked it up again. I ordered myself a pro tank and was looking forward to using it on my provari. Stupid as i sometimes can be i washed my provari under water a week earlier. Well now that i was trying to turn it on it is completely dead. No lights, nothing.

I was thinking maybe some dirt is stuck on the circuit so i just filled the whole thing up with paint remover and let it run through and let it dry.

Any ideas people? And if it remains dead, what is the best mod around right now?

Thanks ;)

Well, it is clean now Boiling! Might still be a bit wet inside. If it were me I would put it in a bag of rice and leave it there for a week or two. That would help remove the moisture left inside.

Best mod? Well, you washed that one with paint remover so I suggest the next best thing for you is a eGo Twist. HTH :toast:

Thanks. Sure should be clean now  I'll think i'll stay away from the eGo's, i got some batteries i am using right now. I'm looking for a main device to use at home that is VV or maybe VV/VW.

Cheers! :toast:

rofl, sorry man. so you soaked your mod with paint remover? I think that thing is pretty much dead. paint remover is some pretty strong stuff. Might have killed some of the parts on or in the circuit board.

I do some pretty dumb stuff sometimes too. just go to laugh at yourself and move on :toast:

Water and paint remover??? I agree with Reydan; put in a linen or muslin bag and stick it in a container of rice. ProVari is a good mod--it may actually come back to life!

Two of the most popular VW mods nowadays seem to be the Vamo and the new Sigelei Zmax!

It is R.I.P in a bag of rice atm. I'll give it 3 days to a week before resurrection. :D I'll have a look at those mods. Thanks alot. :vapor:

Send it in to Provape and they will probably fix it for you for much less than the price of a new one.

Provape will repair it.

IDK what passes for paint-remover in Norway. But....yikes.

For posterity and others reading this....

Next time use 91% Isopropyl Alcohol + 9% distilled water (The medical grade stuff...no other ingredients).

Oy vey! Right? I actually like the 99%, it dries faster.

To the OP, contact Provape through their website, they will respond and tell you to send it back to them. They will have a form you will fill out and send with the Provari.

Contact them. You may get charged but it will be less than buying a new one.
Water is a no no for cleaning, which I guess you learned the hard way. The only thing they recommend is alcohol. Isopropyl like Atty said. My preference is 99%. And it MUST be thoroughly dry before trying to put a battery in. At least 12 hours or longer.

Good luck :)

???? Did you really do this, submerge something that has electronics in water and paint thinner? Really? I'm sorry but that just really blows my mind. Please don't take this wrong but common sense dictates that is just very very wrong. I really am sorry that your Provari is dead but I think that you have learned a very valuable lesson about what not to do. Maybe try something a bit less expensive till you get the hang of electronic cigarette use.

I feel really bad for you, I know what it feels like to be without a PV.
