I've had mine a fair few weeks now and been dropped a fair few times and its still going strong, to be fair there is some slight scuffing from the bottom tube into the lacquer finish and I am not so sure about the plastic threading at the bottom of the screen tube as it looks quite fragile.

Wonder why they call it "brass finish" as its a copper colour not a burnished gold colour and even in the write up it says this finish is brought about by copper plating :S

I've done about 15 tankfuls from the steam turbine on mine and its been good and steady, battery usage seems to be a 18650 a day, does anyone know if the voltage and wattage are independent or just different scales of the same settings? I up the volts and the Po stays the same but am looking for clarification there as I don't want to send through too much watts when its working just right :)

I've had my Kmax for months. No problems at all. I did find that it seems to burn hotter than the volt setting says but not on the watt setting. The watt setting controls the volt setting. They are not independent.
As for the scratching, I have some circular scratches on the upper tube from the lower threading. Gives it a unique appearance.

Update:

It was a pretty short run. I really liked the Kmax. I really enjoyed the variable voltage option. It fired fantastic. Tonight it separated at a joint it probably shouldn't have. While I am sure I can probably fix this, I'm sure this is probably a deal breaker for most, and rightly so.

Oh rats the same EXACT thing happened to my KMAX . My girlfriend dropped it on the carpet 3 or 4 times. So I duct tape it back on, she drops it again and on the 4th drop it separated at the join right below the fire button. Worst investment ever, looks cool! But don't try and use it! Might fall off your bureau onto some carpet and fall apart.

Ps
Pbusardo on YouTube does a terrific review on the kmax and proves what I deduced the first time I used it. It WAY over fires. I rebuilt my girls Kanger pro tank II at least 5 times within the first week of her getting/using it. I had to keep reviving that dang positive negative isolator too. Even set to 3.3 volts on a 2.1 ohm build we still kept getting dry, scratchy burnt hits. Worst!

NOW that I got that out of my system. PLEASE TELL ME SOMEONE HAS USED THE GUTS OF THE KMAX TO MAKE A BOX MOD. Anyone? I need to tear it to bits and put it into a box!!! Forget the telescope, my girl doesn't even know what an 18650 battery is, nevermind the other battery configs the kmax takes. Please once again, is there someone or a website that can help.

Thank you, WamoVamo, proud Vamo v2 owner out.
