I'm a new vaper (and recent ex-smoker :)). I have an Ego C-Twist now and am going to upgrade to a Provari. My questions are these: Does anyone have an opinion on the display colors? (ie. easier to read in daylight) And what kinda runtime can I expect from the 18490 vs 18650 batt. I vape about 2.5 to 3ml/day. Thanks!

PS: I Love ecf and greatly appreciate all the work that goes into making it what it is!

I'll try to offer some help from my experience. And welcome, by the way. :)

I own a standard and mini Provari. I use the recommended AW 18490 and 18650 IMRs in the standard size. I get 10 - 12 hours with the 18490 and about 18 - 20 hours with the 18650. I typically run it in the 18650 mode and put a fresh battery in every morning or before I go to bed at night.

I'll add that I keep four 18650 batteries, two 18490 batteries, and four 18350 batteries in a rotation. I use the mini in 18350, 18490, and 18650 mode. I'm currently using a Nitecore Intellicharger i4.

I have a blue and green LED. To me, the green's LED figures are sharper and more defined than the blue, but I also do like the slightly softer figures of the blue. I have read from others that the red can be somewhat harsh on the eyes, but it is the easiest to see in full sunlight.

I'd like to point out that ECF has a http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/provari/ sub-forum, too.

Welcome first off. As for runtime. I'm not a good judge, seeing that I use and carry multiple devices everyday. I've got 5 Provari's now (sold one to a vape brother). All have the red LED and I really like it. Easy for these old eyes to see whether it's bright daylight or dark. YMMV.

I have both the blue and the green LEDs. I personally feel the green is easier to see in bright sunlight. It is hard to say about battery life becuase my 18350s acutally last longer, but that is becuase I takave them to work, and only vape on breaks. At home I usually have 18650s but I chain vape, and they no longer last me a full day. To me, it doesn't really matter because I always have spare batteries available.
