Hypertanks are large, cheap, durable, and easy. That said, they aren't doing the job for me that I want them to do.

What's available for toppers these days that don't require a lot of fiddling around and changing out of the coil/wicks/whateverthehelltheyuse and are protected by metal? I was breaking glass right and left before I just dropped a Hypertank on in a hurry and never bothered to switch out. I still have my cartotanks for fancy but I need a workhorse for...well...WORK.

Someone gave me one of these, about a week ago, but I have not used it yet, but a lot of people like them. They use a changeable type coil head also.

Aspire Nautilus Dual Coil Bottom Feed Atomizer Tank with Adjustable Airflow

Also you can get all metal tanks for them as well.

Also there's the Tatroe tank...they take ProTank coils.

I got it as soon as I saw it, even though I've been trying to make myself sell all the other Minis I have except one. Or two.

I don't NEED all these freaking devices....lol Hell, I don't even use nicotine or flavored juice anymore. I still have an unopened 100 ml of 100 mg nicotine in the freezer...lol

But stick a dragon on something and I'm SOL and sucked into the nonsense. *sigh*

I haven't been around because I haven't had time. Between the job and trying to fix my life I just don't spend all that much time online, anymore.

Well it's Good to See You again :) You have been missed and anytime you need a break from real life you can always come here :)

Those of you with a Dragon hiw durable is the finish on them? My local B&M has the blue button in mini and full size, but I want to use it as a daily device. Will it hold up?

It's bare stainless steel, polished to a highly reflective finish. Just about as durable as it gets. It can get some micro-scratching from pocket wear, but that can be easily polished back out. Much more durable than any of the colored CeraKote finishes. Haven't messed with ZenCoat yet, but at least equal if not a half-step above just because it's always repairable

Appearance / durability isn't everything..

I can't speak for the polished, but satin silver is a little more slippery than the cerakoted bronze & satin black, which definitely have more grip when everything else is equal...

And if that extra grip means the difference between holding it, or having it slip out of my hand & crash to the ground, I'm all for it..

But yeah, cerakote isn't going to last forever.. There are things you can do to help slow its wear, however.. :)

Yeah, but the question was specifically about durability. :)

Yeah, but the question was specifically about durability. :)

I prefer not to test the durability of my ProVari's externals or internals by dropping it any more than I have to.. :D

See: Greg Conley's recent post here, for example..

I noticed he tends to hold his satin silver ProVari fairly gingerly.. And when engrossed in a conversation, tends to move his hands a lot..

Not a good combo.. And not surprised it eventually succumbed..

I have 2 polished ones & I don't find them slippery at all either. ProVape recommends Cape Cod Polishing Cloths, but there's a number of products on the market for polishing bare stainless. I just use BKF since it's a cleanser & polisher, but it's too coarse to take out the micro-scratches. Just depends on how far you want to take it - you could go all the way up to buffing compounds to turn it into a mirror.
