So I got sucked into the Provari stigma. Here is what my experience has been in the last week. Looking forward to the Provape sales reps to chime in (we all know who you are).

PU - PD (Voltage)
Maybe. Not being an electrical engineer I can't say how accurate the device is.

CB
Check the battery. For me this time it measures 3.9 at first, then on same screen drops to 3.8 then 3.6. Which is it? Then check after that before any hits it measures 3.5, ...

Ohms
VERY IMPORTANT. Ohms checked in at 1.9 then climbed up to 2.1, same screen. Checked again it was 2.0 and climbed to 2.2 same screen.

It is a solid device, and if your likely to drop it and not care how accurate the most important data it outputs is, buy it. For me, waste of money and it now takes a back seat to my other very inexpensive mods. Provari Fail!

You did realize that when you checked the battery and the ohms that the Provari was putting out voltage to check them, thus first giving you a static reading followed by a rating under load.

Right?

Looks like its accuracy confused you. Did you check its readings against a meter before you rejected it?

.4 volts? Nice try...

well in any case sorry bout your luck, but if you watch busardos review he runs it on an oscilloscope and shows it to be one of the most accurate devices made.

the only device i have used just as accurate is my semovar.

could it be maybe you did something wrong?
like crappy batteries? or not realizing resistance changes when a coil get hot? (the provari does heat the coil to take the reading.) many of the cheaper APV's dont heat the coil to take the reading.

before you accuse me of anything i own one but i dont use it anymore i like my semo better.

AW 18650 IMR batteries. Such a shift in battery and Ohm numbers makes no sense.

A battery at idle & a battery under load? Makes sense to me. Ohms as well for reasons previously stated. I would also consider the integrity of the coil itself. Until you check it against a known, calibrated meter it's all speculation.

battery at rest and battery at load can be pretty different sometimes, in many cases the average voltage drop for anything more then a 2 amp draw is .3v or more.

you may also benefit from a good cleaning of the threads and 510 contact.

This has to be the worst thread EVAR. What kind of review is that?

Confession that ProVari outperforms the other mods. The rest is pretty negligible IMO.

But hurry up and warn others not to buy one. Wouldn't it be a shame if they found out about the better performance of the ProVari, but were tricked into not knowing that active meters in the chip have to variate until they dial in the desired info. Obviously it's a $200 paperweight.

thanks for stopping by

Blasphemy!!!! I refuse to pay anything less than $225 for my paperweights.
