I know this could probably go in other areas as well but I thought it might be easiest for other ProVari users to get the information here.
I've had my ProVaris for a little over 3 months now and used them in public without causing any fuss. But there's always that lingering thought of "what if someone mistakes it for something its not" and "what if someone at court or the airport decide it isn't alright to bring it in". So I thought I would share an experience I had yesterday.
I had to attend court yesterday. Initially I thought I would just leave the ProVari in the car and go out and vape when I needed to, put it back in the car and repeat. Well, that got old on the first trip. So I just asked the Bailiff at the door if they were allowed before I returned with it. He said they were allowed but didn't know if we were allowed to use them in the courthouse. I told him I had no issue going outside to vape, I just didn't want to have to keep going all the way back to the car. He said that would be fine.
So I go out and have a nice little vape session and come back in. I put all my stuff in the tray including my ProVari and tank setup. It goes through the scanner and comes out on the other side. He picks it up and says "oh wow, that's a big one". So I go through how it works and what it does, components and the difference between vaping and smoking. Another guy was going through the check in area, he started asking where to get one and if it worked. So I directed him to the site and the bailiff thanked me for giving him a run down.
So all went well and I was able to use my ProVari all day. I did go outside to vape except for a quick toot leaving the restroom. Just thought I would share the experience. Please feel free to share your experiences as well.
