When I hit the button to vape it works great but I get a high pitched but faint hum from it..... Is this normal?

Mine doesn't do it. The Provaris have a one year warranty, you may want to call them.
Mine doesn't either. Have you tried a different atty to see if it does it on all?

The microprocessors make that noise.
Mainly young folks have better hearing and notice that compared to older folks.

Nothing to do with age - seems other provari users have had this happen too.

Cleaning the threads helped me. I typically wipe down the 510 connection on both my atomizer and Provari between fills, but I didn't think about cleaning the threads on the end cap until researching this problem. I think dirt and oil from your fingers will build up there if you touch the threads when you swap out batteries, especially if they have any old lubricating grease on them.
I haven't heard any whining since I wiped the gunk off both ends.
