I just added a ZAP to my Provari but more importantly a Tatroe Base. With this base I can opt to run just the base for a 18350 batt or the base and extension for a 18490 or just the extension along with the Provari extension and have a 18650.

This is with the Tatroe base and it's included extension running the 18490.

The Tatroe is a 2 part unit. The oversized base & the extension tube. They're threaded the same as the 'Vari, so you can use the Tatroe extension tube with ProVari's extended cap & fit an 18650.

Very good description exactly. I'm really diggin' this setup with the base for around the house. On the go I use the provari extension with a Serenity sleeve.

Thats an awesome setup for the Mini!

Wished they had the 18650 ring for the full size so I could use the stock end cap and also use the over sized base for the coffee table.

That works with the full size. Put on the ring, then the over-sized base (which is the end cap) and you can use an 18650 battery. Or did I misunderstand what you were trying to achieve? I just ordered one today.

I just thought if it made the Mini long enough to take an 18650 that the ring would make the full size Provari to long for the 18650?

He used the Tatroe extension with the ProVari extended cap on the mini to make use of an 18650. If you put on the Tatroe endcap, it'll limit the mini to a 18490.

On the full size ProVari, the Tatroe endcap doesn't add any length, so using the Tatroe extension allows you to put in an 18650. It's kind of like doing Chinese arithmetic. :)

Mine has supposedly shipped. I'll be personally checking out all the combos when it shows up.

I'll try to make mud clear and help out. I'll just post some photos here and it should help.

Tatroe Base and it's included extension

Tatroe Base only for a 18350 battery

Tatroe Base and extension for a 18490 battery

Tatroe extension and Provari extension together for a 18650 battery

There is also different combos by using the stock provari end cap

Oh!

I want one of these.

I do have questions to anyone who has them. The base changes a stardard Provari into 18650?

If I would have seen this I would not have bought the Provari 18650 cap.

Yes, the Tatroe Base and the included extension will make a "standard" Provari a 18650.

Thanks for the info guys!
I actually figured it out and ordered it last night, just wanted to make sure, "I'm easily corn fused" .

And I really wanted to get one before Baditude did!

:glare: Oh, so now its a game? I see how you play now...

JK! I actually didn't see myself having much interest in one of these as I imagined that base would feel rather weird fitting into a front pants pocket.

Then this weekend I began using my AGA T's again and recalled how top heavy they can make the Provari. I can definitely see the wide base being useful to stabilize the Provari when using a hefty Genesis-style RBA. I might get one down the road.
