I've noticed that the Mini could not fire below 1.0 ohms or over 5Volts off of a 1.8ohm Kanthal coil.

That's odd.
I regularly run mine at .75 ohms and 3 volts when I use a Russian or Kayfun.

I would lean towards the Provari, and if I was replacing it, I would do something better than the VaporShark.

Not that it's a bad unit at all, it's just that there are other box mods out there that are more powerful than the VaporShark for the same price.

It really comes down to what you want to do - to me, 30 watts isn't enough to drip on, and I have no need for more than 12 watts if I am running with a Kayfun, Spheriod or Expromiser.

Same with my DID or Z-Atty.

Maybe my Kraken

Yeah I use the Veritas RDA and with a single horizontal coil at 1.5ohms. It only fire at 4.8v max. I can't even go above 4.8v because the Mini would start throwing error codes. I guess for safety. Interesting that you can go below to .75ohms. I presume that you are referring to a Provari also right?

The higher the resistance on the coil, the more volts it allows to give me. I was thinking of getting more of a warmer vapor than what I'm receiving now. I've never tried a Kayfun or any of the different RBA's that they've come out with but I sure would want to. I did try a Nautilus Mini which was great but knowing the fact that I'm still inhaling silica wick material throwed me over to the RDA family which I'm comfortable to know what wicking material I'm inhaling. Silica is on point for flavors though I've notice. You can really taste just the juice and nothing else. Funny how when we go to a vapor store and try the juices, all the juices would already be setup in ego tanks. All you do is grab the battery, condom and screw on and vape test. Then when you drip it, the flavors not the same. I got till next month to make up my mind on the next safety variable voltage mod.
