Quick question about the charger... is to ok to keep the batteries in the charger after they've charged? At least for an hour or two? What about overnight? Does the charger turn off when they're done charging?
I'm just curious if my batteries aren't finished charging when I leave for 2 hours, if I leave them in for a bit if it's detrimental at all. I know with other batteries you shouldn't leave them on the charger overnight or anything..

With batteries - it's better safe than sorry. If there's a charger you should feel comfortable with them on, it's the PILA. But I still recommend being in the room for most of the time while they're charging, and I personally wouldn't leave it on overnight, or leave the house with them on the charger. There's protection built into the PILA so they won't overcharge, but I still wouldn't take any chances. I also highly recommend getting a cheap multimeter so you can meter the batteries as they come off the charger. You don't really want them to be over 4.2 volts coming off the charger. The good news is that the Provari has a ton of battery safety features built into it, so with a PILA charger you're double protected.

excellent question.
i would really like good detailed explanation on this as well.

My 18650 aw imr's 1600 mah's, seem to have gotten weaker and weaker in my lavatube, and i was wondering if its because one is always in the charger, then i switch and leave the other one in the charger til the other one is weak and i repeat this process over and over again with the same two batteries. ..okay thats just wayy to much information i think i just gave. i'm sick of myself talking so much, i wish i knew how to make a long story short, or a short story even shorter'....

Oh my god, I went down to leave a note for the mailman to leave the package if it didn't fit AND MY PROVARI MINI WAS ALREADY HERE! Ahh I'm so excited. I am about to leave and go eat and drop my gf off at work so I can't really use it right yet, but I'm charging my 18350 batteries right now.
Oh wow, this is way smaller than I had imagined, and it's SO solid and great! Wow, what a beauty!

Also, the 18350 batteries fit in the charger, and I bought 2 of those pila charger spacers... not sure if I'm doing something wrong or what? I can't figure out what to do with them... are they meant for other chargers?

Anyway, charging up the batteries now, I will report back in about 2 hours or so!
Wahoo! So excited :)

Whoot! My mailman snuck my package up on me as well. They are sneaky today when all of us really are trying our best to lay a trap and snag em on approach.

On the charger, I gotta go back and check now. So you are saying that the 18350's went into the Pila charger without having to use the extension spacer?

Charging a battery past the charge point is the fastest way to kill a battery's life. I usually swap my battery out and charge it when I know I have the 3-5 hrs (depending on charger I use for the 18650) to hang around and remove it when it's done.

With that said, vaptamist explained the rest pretty much dead on. Still gotta run in and see if the 18350 without the extension on the Pila charger is a good idea or not.

EDIT: Ok, so subver must be using the Tenergy charger that comes with the provari's via the add charger option. They fit without any need for spacers (them spring arms are much nicer and hold well over the Pila charger in my opinion as well).

Subver, I'd hang on to those spacers if you opt to get a Pila charger later. It's like $45 or something on the Provape site. Has more advanced charging algorithms and can thus charge the batteries up faster and safer with overcharge protection etc.

Ok, I bought a pila charger over in the classies. Will it charge the small mini batterys and the extended battery or do I have to buy something else?

Without the built in spacer (just unscrew it), you can charge 18650s.

With the built in spacer, it will charge the 18490/18500s

With the built in spacer removed, the pila extension that Provape sells screwed back onto the back of the spacer, and then rescrewed on to the Pila, it will charge the 18350s.

Yup you guys are right.. my bad, I didn't get the Pila charger.. I didn't know they were for those charges exclusively. But I will keep them, they were only a few bucks.. maybe down the road I will get a Pila charger.
Ok, time to play with the Provari.. I just got home. Unfortunately I didn't get my 3ohm boges, but I have 2ohm boges.. The provari will give me an error if I go too high of a voltage right? Or is there a certain voltage I shouldnt attempt to go past? I would like to go higher than my current 4.2v kGo, at least until I get my 3ohms.

Order#: 17960 still processing :(

What drives me crazy, is that earlier order numbers have been shipped allready

Did you by any chance order 18650s with you order? They were backordered and all orders with them included are on hold till they get them in.

I would take it slowly past 4.2, a boge single coil will start to get a burny taste before the provari will give an error. A 2 ohm should be able to go up to 4.4 or 4.5 without too much trouble.

Yeah, the 2.0 Ohm can go up to 7v before it hits the 3.5 amp limit. However, the Provari v2 will limit it to 5.9 volts probably due to a wattage limit. I'm sure you'll probably veto the taste way before then. :D

Yep. ok, so I tested the carto and it's actually 2.2-2.3ohm.. been using it at 5v and it's perfect. Went up to 5.5 and was getting a burny taste. WIth that said.. 5v and 2.3ohm is giving me about 10.8w, and my bobas bounty tastes so much stronger and nicer than it did at 4.2v. I'm wondering with the 3ohm at 6v if I will get that burny taste, too.
I wouldn't mind going hotter, only because after a while I get used to the vapor and it feels a little lighter than I'd like, but I might still just be getting used to vaping.. I'm only about 3 weeks into it so far.

Now, about the mini. Wow.. I love everything about it. I love the solid, sturdy feel. The threads are so perfect and screws on like butter, even the carto screws. It's smaller than I expected which is a huge plus. The one thing I have to get used to is the auto shutoff.. I think I've been taking much longer drags than I should, so it's probably a good thing.. plus will save my battery I'm sure.. Ah I love it, so glad I woke up at 2:45 to order!

Now, hopefully I'll get a little better vapor from the 3ohm, or at least the same vapor but use less battery!

OH i'm so happy for you!

the auto shut off?
you mean when the battery dies it auto shuts off?
least' it saves the settings, from what i read.
i think i'll like the auto shut off, instead of just vaping weaker and weaker as i go.
