Hey guys, so for future ref', when i DO get one of these vpx's, it says on the site: "The VPX (Vaperfexion) Cartomator tank comes with your choice of a "Dotted" Smoketech Dual-Coil or Boge Carto in LR 1.5 ohm up to 3.0 ohms"

So what should i get with it? the 3.0 ohms boge carto lr ?

Meems

Since you got the 2.5 ohm dc, and you're going to pop it on your new Provari, I'd say try the boge 3.0 SR. There's really no reason to use the LR 1.5 ohm boges in a vv device, that's more for peeps who wanted a warmer vape stuck on say a 3.7v device.

yeah but he doesnt have those. he's getting more in stock next week, but this is the information:
Canadian electronic cigarette Happy/Joye 510 eGo, VPX CARTOMATOR Cartomizer Tank

sooo confused.lol

K, so if they got the color you like with a 2.0 Boge (seems he has a few of those) snag that, then go buy yourself a few packs or at least one pack of boge 3.0 cartos elsewhere, as when the carto that is included dies, you can swap it out for whatever you like (as long as it fits and another boge should indeed work).

Hope that helps. :)

Worse comes to worse, grab the color you like, get a few 3.0 ohm boges elsewhere, put the Smoketech in the spare parts drawer for a rainy day and start off with a 3.0 boge (or whatever you prefer). :)

EDIT: Just be aware that the tank will either be 3ml or so in size for regular cartos (doesn't matter if it's the smoketech or boge) or the 5ml version marked as XL which is taller and will require a bigger carto (boge xxl for example).

Suggest you get the regular sized tank to start as you can still use it on a bigger carto but you can't use the bigger tank on a regular sized carto.

Sorry Meeems, I keep editing the post adding additional thoughts. Lack of sleep = wierd mindset today. Trying to keep my thoughts together, but vaping 18 mg today (usually do 24 mg) and I'm also feeling the effects, feel like I can't vape enough and I'm kinda feinin (sp?).

Anyway yeah, if you read it once, refresh and read again as it probably changed again. :p

You can use the dual coils and adjust your voltage accordingly, but I believe they cut your battery life in half since you are powering 2 coils at the same time ......correct me if I am wrong Envi.

meeems - ALWAYS! LOL I use tanks pretty much exclusively. They don't effect the ohms or volts any, just keep ya juiced up all the time.

EDIT: I MEAN , xl cartos for bigger tanks and standard cartos for small. i think. oh geezus i dont know anymore, my brain is just as fuzzy as yours is today.

Not so much as the fact your powering two coils, but two coils effectively cut the ohm rating in half, so you draw more current to power the lower resistance setup.

If you got a dual coil carto with say two 6 ohm coils, the result would be a 3.0 ohm dcc and it would use the same amount of power as a standard 3.0 carto. There are other small factors to consider, but so yeah, a 1.5 ohm dcc uses more power because it's not the same resistance as the 3.0 scc. Hope that was worded ok.

:D Only reason I think I got a handle on this is it's not much different than wiring speakers and I have a love of home theater gear. Only now I'm going back out and re-reading because I'm assuming that the dcc use two coils wired in parallel and not in series. If they are wired in series, then my math is wrong. It would take two .75 ohm coils to make a 1.5 ohm carto. Ah, so off I go to read more to make sure I know what I've said is accurate. If not, I'll edit and fix. :D

Edit: I love second guessing myself. So yeah, they are wired in parallel as far as other sources have confirmed. So two 3.0 ohm coils results in a 1.5 ohm dcc. I was correct with my original statement.

Kay when you come back, explain it to us with words we'll understand...for example : 'see jane run, see spot play'...
