i have problem with my mini provary,he do all functions but if i push the button to vape he makes a strange prolonged noise and do not activate the atomizer.if someone knows the problem please help.. thnx...

that's really strange, the provari shouldn't make any noise... good as it is, it comes without any beeper/speaker, though; so I'm wondering where that noise may come from.

have you tried it with a different atomizer?

Riverboat, tnx for the link.

I don't know why AW are so overpraised. Yes, they are the "official" batts for ProVari according to Provape, but this doesn't make them the best by any means. Hell, Provape sell (protected) TrustFire batts as well, and we all know Ultra/TrustFire are crap.
Efest are good alternative IMHO - sturdy build quality, good performance, easy to find over here.

Try to clean the + and - on the batteries for a better connection and give them a try again. Never had such issue.
A stupid question, but are you sure your Efest batts are nipple top? The nipple should be the same size as on the AWs.

A quote from another forum
On the efests (all models) - if it says V1 then it is considered a flattop - it does look like a kind of nipple but it wont work in a provari.

If it says V2 then it is a proper nipple top & works fine in proivari etc.

Just make sure you get V2's - they work in everything.

Thanks for that info. It does say "V2" on the label. I don't see any dirt or anything, will try a quick cleaning on the contacts and battery, but am not holding out hope as it works flawlessly otherwise..

And yep, def a nipple top. I don't own calipers, but eyeballing it next to an aw the nipple just seems a mm smaller.

Sent from my phone; Please excuse typos / autocorrections.

Here's a pic of the V2 Efest i have next to an AW. You can see that the Efest is slightly taller, but the nipple itself isn't as 'tall' as the one on the AW. This is why I believe it isn't making contact at the positive terminal inside. (Or am I a ....., and that is more of a bulging flat top and less of a tiny nipple top?)

With AW's performing so well and Provape designing their Provari around the AW specs.. why would I ever want to switch to the Efest...

I've run into the same problem... it only affects Efest IMR 18650s, both the 18500 and 18350s (all button-tops) do work fine in my provari v2 or in my wife's mini.

if you look at the pic here you'll see that the button top of the 18650 is also shorter than other Efest's, not only than AW's :).

At first I've thought the 18650s to be Efest knockoffs, but later on I've discovered they were genuine.

Anyway those 18650s are well worth their relatively modest price tag; it's really a pity they don't work on the provari.

In general, Efest IMR batteries give the AW's a serious run for the money... the 18350s and 18500s work at least as good as their AW counterparts, and they cost almost half as much. Good value for me.

I've been meaning to post a followup; after further experimentation, I found the following: ONE of the two EFest 18650's works in ONE of my ProVaris, strangely enough. The newer blue V2 (6 months-ish) I have works with one of the two EFests, while neither work in the older V2 (1 year old) satin silver. Yes, i've tried playing with springs and such. Interesting result, though!

hmmm... by coincidence, my provari v2 (blue LED satin, provided this matters :)) is about 6 months old... don't know what to say.

In the coming days I'll do some more trials; will post the results back here if I find anything of interest.
