Provari questions

So my new Provari is finally in the mail and should be here in a week or so. I ordered a mini with the extended cap and 2 batteries. I also ordered a slew of extra goodies to try out with it. My main questions are to do with voltages folks use.

I will be using a variety of juices, I have read that the juice used will make a difference. The juices I got to start out with are Gorilla juice, Boba's Bounty, Hype (PG), Carmel Kicker and Dew (the dew is from Provape, rest are from avejuice). I do not recall the mixes on PG/VG, not even sure I had a choice on them.

I also ordered a WYD Big Daddy tank with some 1.5 ohm single and dual coil pre-punched cartos from the same site (are these what most people get or do people use other cartos with this tank, and if so, which others?). A few 3 ohm 510 cartos from Provape as well as some LR attys from the same site for trying new juices.

So what I am wondering is what voltages should I start out with both on the tank with cartos and the attys for best vapor production and flavor? Do I just drip the juice straight into the attys to test juices? Also, I ordered a 510 tank cartridge, which I believe is to drip into the atty, but I could use clarification on that as well.

Lastly, did I miss anything? In other words, what should my next order include to make for the best possible vape?

Thanks in advance for helping a new vaper progress. :D

I'd probably recommend standard resistance (3 ohm) cartos as opposed to the LR ones you mentioned. You'll be able to get the same vape while drawing less current, meaning more battery life. I've found that with how I vape, I can get 1-2 days out of the 18350. I got the extension cap and 18490 too, but found that I didn't need it so it was sold. I can't give you any pointers on dripping, since I'm still a noob myself and haven't really pursued dripping yet, but I believe you've got the premise right. Drip into the atty and vape. There should be some youtube videos or tutorials around here that could help.

As for voltages, I like to vape Boba's on a 3 ohm carto at anywhere from 5-6v. What's really great about VV, and complex juices like boba's, is the ability to dial in where that particular juice, in that particular carto, at that particular time, tastes best to you. It seems like 8-9 watts is most people's sweet spot though, so that should give you a decent starting point. You can use an ohm's law calculator to figure out watts given a set voltage and resistance. For instance, on your 1.5 ohm cartos, 3.7v would give you right about 9 watts. However you can see that using the lower resistance carto will draw more amps than a SR carto when outputting the same wattage, and that's why I'd recommend the 3 ohm cartos. They should vape exactly the same, but your battery will take much less of a hit.

Most of the juices you ordered, besides the hype (idk about provape's juices), are VG liquids and are quite thick. You'll have to possibly have to make some modifications to get the juice wicking right in your tank. I'm vaping AVE juices now (Boba's) and I've been having some success with a single large punch in the carto. If it's too small, the juice won't want to pull into the carto and you'll get no flavor and dry hits that could ruin the carto. There's some trial and error, but when you get a good tank working well on the provari, there's not much better for a quality, consistent vape.

I don't see that you missed anything, you actually set yourself up quite nicely with a good tank (from what I've heard/read), a fantastic mod, and great juices. Well, I've only tried the Boba's and gorilla juice, but they're excellent! :) Good luck, I think you'll find yourself really enjoying your new setup.

With the Bobas I vape it with boge LR carto a 4.4v awesome and my favorite setting! I use 4.4v for my boge 2.2ohm LR carto and 4.3v for smoktech 1.5ohm resurrectors cartos. I'm also using a mom&pop mini sub tank. Like above with my boge SR 3.0ohm carto I use 5-6v. I also slot my own cartos with my dremel . I use big slots for thicker juices like bobas and gorrilla juice! Enjoy
