Once upon a time, I watched a dozen plus reviews a week, but once everyone starting racing to the bottom on ohms and to the top on watts, I gave up on most of them. But I do wonder where everyone is on Radius reviews? For example, I figured Phil as an early reviewer, and he wasted his last review on that crap smok X-Cube Mini. I've lost a lot of respect for Phil lately. Sad.

yeah, reviews overall have become skewed to what's perceived as the "in" stuff. I've noticed the same with juices. Most of the multi-juice vendors (Giant Vapes, VapeRev, etc.) who send me announcement emails seem to highlight maxVG, which ain't my thing.

The wire with the brass connector and the threaded bushes embedded in the plastic are going to cause problems down the road. I find it unbelievable that Provape designed it this way. This simply is not how you do it. The battery connector probably won't cause too many issues but the threaded bushes are going to come loose, you can count on it.

How would you do it?

How do other plastic mods do it?

Could you take a guess as to when we will see the first failure of this design?

Curious and Thankful, Jim

I would like to think that the engineers tested the design concept to the point of failure. They do have and use an environmental chamber on hand, and they have shown it in one of the tour videos. They have also stated that they do comprehensive stress testing with their mods. It would be fun to have an empty shell to play with, doing some destruction testing! I would volunteer to do that. :)

It depends on whether or not the user takes out the batteries to charge them. If this is the case I predict the bushes will come loose within a year. If you leave them in and charge with the USB port it obviously isn't an issue and that's what they based the design on, which is why I think the design is bad.

The way I would do it is to not use plastic. If you look at the extra space in the mod, they could have made a steel internal divider with two threaded holes.

While I have not held nor inspected one personally... Yet!

I would further ask if you think that the nut struts pass from top to bottom in the mod?

Curious of your opinion, Jim

Since I have two Radius mods and think they are wonderful, I don't much care for other opinions. However, it is fun to see what others think. I'm amazed there are no reviews from the big guys, other than Twisted. And I watch Twisted only because he's funny. Phil must have been hitting the eggnog early considering the total junk he's been reviewing lately.

I don't think Phil cares much for anything that isn't either a rebuild-able or temp control anymore...he caters to the masses, and that's what the masses want.

Masses of .... whom? Those of whom we know that they want rebuildables and TC and watts, those are forum people, facebook people, youtube people.

If Phil wants to serve them and only them, fine with me. They are a very visible (small) mass - but not the majority.

If Phil does not make one about the Radius - OK. More interesting the question, why others don't do it either. Also not in Europe.

My Opinion...

The others have seen just this one vid, and thought... I can't out do that!!!

LOLz, Jim
