Purchased my provari 1 year ago. Full size, black, 18650 battery cap, green lights.

In that time, the girlfriend has had 3-4 eGo's, 2 eGo twists, a Smok Zmax, a Sigeli Zmax, a SVD, a Vamo, a Smok Magnito, and a Kamry K100. All broke, from the Mag switch falling apart to broken connectors, all of them. I've since fixed the K100 and Magnito in house, but you get the idea.

Provari... We'll it just works. I'm active military, so it's beat hard and shows it's use (badly), but still works like a charm. Been using Protanks, a Phiniac carto tank, a Z-Atty Pro, and vivi tanks with great success. Favorite, and current, setup is a Phiniac tank with ikenvape cartos. Great flavor and easy to use in a durable package. I like it so much I'll probably sell my ZAP soon.

Anyways, just wanted share my third year in vaping. If you're thinking of getting a provari, all I can say is do it.

This is exactly the point that I make when people ask, "Why get a Provari?"

When researching about the different mods, people focus on features and what I consider "bells & whistles"; and of course overall cost. Rarely do they give any consideration to a products history of durability, or of a manufacturer's warranty or customer service for repairs. The Chinese manufacturers do not do repairs - they expect you to buy another cheap mod. Well, mods do misfunction; and they are accidentally dropped and broken. What will you do to fix your mod if it came from China? How many times will you buy another, and another, and another?

Bill3753 has provided first hand experience how expensive that can become. He was the wiser one and spent a little more up front on a better device, and made by a manufacturer who stands by their product for life.

I don't know how the magneto is broken...unless she lost a contact.. I haven't experienced a kamry, but outside of spring going out, I don't see how that became broken either. All the others, I understand.

Magnito brass contact on the tube side is essentially pushed into the tube. If you take it apart, the contact posts on that end screw into the tube using cheap plastic. If you take it apart all the way, its easy to see how it'd happen. I over came it by unthreading the contact on the switch side enough to make up the gap. Problem here is it allows the switch to frequently fall apart. Easy to put back together, just thread the contact back on a little, but its still a pain.

The Kamry K100 top cap where the 510 connector is presses into the tube, which is cheap thin metal. Enough use and it comes apart easily. I've pressed it in easily, but every time it comes apart the less and less the press fit holds. You get the idea from there.

Bells and whistles are overrated. Voltage squared divided by resistance. It doesn't take long to just know where to set the voltage to vape the watts you want.

Your lady sounds like she is rough on her mods. I have many mods from 2008 and on and haven't broken any of them (sure, I've tweaked them but I like to tinker with my toys).

I've never owned a Provari but I hear good things about them and for the price you pay for them I would hope they would last and be built well.

Just like with a car, you can buy the brand new Ferrari and have it catch on fire a week later or the 20yr old Camry that stills runs great. YMMV.

I too have been down the cheap mod road and I finally bit the bullet and bought my first ProVari. It is going to be in my hands tomorrow and I can hardly wait! I have been using a silver bullet for the last few months and it has been very reliable in terms of "toughness" . I have dropped it from 10 ft onto a metal frame and it is not even scratched. Thing is built like a tank so the wife is getting it once I have my PV.
