So last month I got a hay you call, packed my crap and headed down to hotter steamer climes for some training. I didn't have time to really plan out my vape needs so I just grabbed my trusty Provari mini a bunch of batterys and some juice. I also took a vamo V3 I had just received as a back up, I didn't even un-box it, just tossed it into my ruck and headed out. I have stated before that I don't baby my gear, it either takes the abuse or it gets replaced. So far my mini has taken everything I could dish out and more. On the second day out disaster struck, we were crossing a deep creek using a narrow log, one of the guys started getting a little wobbly, fearing he would fall in and his 100lb+ ruck filled with all our com gear would drag him to the bottom, I dropped my kit and jumped in.........with my mini in my pocket. I took it apart dried it out as best as I could and stuffed some toilet paper into it. Three days later it finally started working again, it was very humid and nothing was drying out too quick. My back up Vamo V3 worked like a champ in the mean time, unfortunately right after taking it out of the package, I got a smidge of bug spray on the screen and it melted, so I had to guess at the settings as it was now unreadable. After my mini dried out it started working again. All in all it worked great. A few things I learned, I can stretch a cotton wick 18 days vaping dark juices in my kayfun but boy was it nasty, a Provari with dirty contacts can be a royal pain in the ..., bug spray and vamo screens don't mix, Orb 2900s last for ever (8 got me 19 days) and holy cow! beards itch.
That's me on the far right with the hat.

I have tried putting it in a ziplock, it's just a pain the ... taking it out and putting it back in every time I go to vape. Plus I'm sure I would forget to seal it up and it would just be a false sense of security.

I'm military too man and it is a ..... indeed being in the field trying to vape. I was only taking egos and clearos out there Bc I could give two sh--s about them. I did the ziplock thing but it is sketchy. Now I'm using one if the small pelican cases. Someone posted a thread about theirs that they added foam into to keep everything in place. I had the same idea but haven't gotten around to it. What's your branch of service? I'm guessing navy.
