I'm tempted to pick up a Vamo just to see what all the reverse-fuss is all about.

I can understand the storms over Provari vs. cheaper mods. What is the take on mods like GGs? I can tell they are built like tanks and have very loyal followings. I just don't get why someone would prefer one (other than aesthetics, which are subjective) when it isn't even VV. Is it the sub-ohm draw?

And, yes, this is a noob question.

In a strange sort of way I feel as if I have been deprived. I started out from nothing to a Provari though I did know that I already liked ecigs. Maybe Provari will some day come out with an even better one so I to can feel what it is like to get to the next level. LOL Congrats on your new device.
Stu

Ok, please head out to your nearest minimart and purchase an overpriced e-cig kit, then work your way back up to the Provari with at least 5 more incrementally better purchases.
Only then will you appreciate what a smart decision you made right off the bat :)

I enjoy the build quality and construction of my 2 provari minis. As such, I am more than willing to pay the premium for the said.

Do my provari minis vape any better than my recently purchased Sig Zmax Tele? No, they do not, not by any significant stretch and I would never pretend that they do. The Sig Zmax makes for a good back-up PV, which I can toss around. However, the Sig pales in comparison to the provari in construction quality.

My starter mech mod was a Puresmoker Legacy. I purchased it based on its material and construction quality. Now, I have a Atmomixani Nemesis VW and a Suprer T ELA. The ELA was pre-ordered and has yet to arrive. I run my mechs Kicked.

As the ProVari is the only regulated PV, which truly appeals to me, I chose the said 2 mech mods based on their designs and quality of build.

Haven't tried the Zmax Tele but I can definitely say it vapes better than the SVD and Zmax mini. I tested all 3 with the same tank, juice, battery and voltage setting in the shop. That's why I spent the money for the Provari and that's why I say it's worth the price.

Hype factor can make juice taste great too.

There is something we could do that would taste better but I don't think it is practical and the Provari is fast enough that I am not sure if many could tell the difference. This will also be very inefficient.

We could have a whole bunch of direct drive devices each with resistance at a different level.

Some of these direct drive devices are going to have be single stacked and some of them are going to be double stacked (batteries).

We will use physical resistance on each one of them (wasting a lot energy that does not get to the delivery system).

We have a table full of devices in .1v increments. The power will be cleaner, but I don't know if it is enough to overcome how fast the Provari's PWM is. Perhaps you can taste the difference. In theory this will taste better. There are a boat load of disadvantages.

Problem with this idea:

1. You are going to have 30 devices on your desk but we can not expand the power range. We could make it 40 devices and tip lower in the voltage range and then make it 50 devices and go higher in the voltage range. This is not going to be a very portable option.

2. Some of the batteries are going to be double stacked then have resistance added to the device. We are looking for the cleanest power we can get.

3. As the batteries sag say by by to being at the v's that you want.

Direct drive has some advantages but also has some disadvantages. At home I would rather have a Provari. For super light weight tiny device I might be better off with direct drive using a deliver system that really likes 3.7 with the right juice. But then again I cannot manipulate the current anymore.

Is it "Fanboy" or "Fanboi"? I think it should be "Fanperson" Probably just as many women vaping a Provari as men. I would rather think of myself as a "Fanman" at the veary least. It's funny you never see the Fanperson tag attached to a die hard Vamo user. I guess it's hard to get so strongly behind a device who's best attributes are "it's so cheap, when it breaks I'll by another". Nothing wrong with that. I advocate Vamo kits from Fasttech to a lot of new vapers. Provaris are expensive, a lot of vapers won't stick with it. And it's better 60 bucks blown than 160. I know, I know they can always sell it, but you get what I mean. Vamos have their place, if for nothing else they are a great, gateway APV. And as we all know, every vaper will eventually end up with a Provari. And no I am not a Fanperson, more like a Disciple.........

I was the one who called it status quo and boring but I nabbed one at a fair price ( in otherwords, good price not retail for 2 nd hand!) in lightly used condition. Seeing he had several in hi Avatar I figured he needed to get money for some RBA or something. Anyway. It's a regular size 18490 and there is n o t h i n g wrong with it. Seems it was way ahead of its time alright. I don't knw but how long have they been selling the VV?
